i really do like the series...

I do but Auren acts dumbly and it just ranks me. She makes stupid mistakes over and over and just does not seem to learn a single thing throughout her experiences. If she does, then often times it's too little too late. Its frustrating and makes me not want to finish the book. Its the 5th installment and she really should be pulling up her big girl pants by now. Her growth is *very* slow. Her CONSTANT guilt ridden/ profound realization monologues cause way more problems than solve them and happens at the worst f*cking moments and that's why this is a drawn out 6 installment series. I liked this series so much more in the beginning. By the middle of the 4th book I was ready for this series to be finished.

AMAZING!

I love this entire series so far, but the narrators NAILED it, yet again! There’s magic, betrayal, war, revelations, yearning, a little spice, different realms, history and backstories. This book was a bit more intense and sad than the others in my opinion and has made the stakes insanely high for the last book. Can’t wait for March!

First off this book was very good! BUT it’s like the author needed to add in everyone else’s romance all the sudden and not just Rot and Oren. I don’t really mind more than one HEA but i feel like it should have been spread out between all the books not just suddenly thrown into book 5 of a 6 book series. Now having said that this book was still very good and you get a ton of information because its less about Rot and Oren in real time and more about them being on their own adventures but with the focus of finding each other and righting some wrongs along the way. While they are on these journeys you find out lot of previously unknown truths on so many things the big one being how Oren was kidnapped. You also learn that they are fated mates and there is a power shift which makes me wonder if it works both ways. We know she can now use his power but can he also use hers? And can she only use the rot or can she use his other powers too? Lot more questions. What about Risa and the Captain (i forgot his name) and what about the cold queen and the shadow man? And what about this war!! And IF they win? Will they stay in one place so he can be king or the other place so she can be queen???

I am very excited for the last book! This has been such an amazing adventure so far. Thankfully the last book comes out next week so not too long to wait for the rest of the story ❤️

The distinct voices of the actors.

Love that the voices are done by the two voice actors for the different men and women throughout the book. I hate it when I listen to audiobooks where the male voice has to also do the female parts….. sounds so cringy. Loved every moment of it!!!!! Both voice actors were great and it pulls you into the story and brings the story to your mind like a movie.

Battle battle battle to get livers together and save kingdoms.

Enjoyed this book it was a lot of battling secrets begin to be revealed. The characters had further development and are beloved.
