Publisher's summary

Rampaging orc armies. Vicious bounty hunters. Hot lady robots.

Just another day in the life of Ian the Warlock and his succubus Alaria.

On the run from a goblin mob boss, Ian and Alaria travel to a distant land to kill her next ex-master - who just happens to be a gnome.

Like the other villains before him, this one plans to make SHORT work of our heroes! (Sorry, bad joke.)

In addition to saving themselves, our intrepid duo has to deal with a host of other problems - including steampunk war machines, female elf sex cults, and the end of the world.

Warning: This is a story featuring naked women, threesomes, kinky sex, demons, warlocks, violence, revenge, and moral quandaries.

Mc is dumb

The main character is very dumb. Annoyingly so. The sex stuff is the only real reason to listen to this series.

At this point I'm not sure if I've wasted time.

I have mixed feelings about these books. The MC is a waste mostly. I'm not even done with this book and I'm not sure I want to finish it. There's a lot of emotional connection and pretty good relationships between characters. The problem is that sucks you in and because the MC has barely enough intelligence to kinda function everything gets screwed. To me it's draining.

Cliff

characters lost their personalities and were written with new ones, the plot flies off the rails almost as soon as this book starts, and it feels overall as though it was written by a new author who hadn't had any dealings with the first three. Iggy Toma doesn't disappoint, so the voice acting is at least the same.

This fourth book has being the best so far

this time I got everything I wanted, great sex scenes and good anal sex though I can improve.

The plot got way better, more imaginative a torture I never heard before. I have to admit that never read a history whit such frustration and pleasure at the same time lol.

Great book!

Good book overall sometimes a little bit too explicit for my taste. Nevertheless a great read or listen.

Not as good as the others.

While I understand the concept of this book, it's execution was somewhat lacking. The characters in this computer world are too self aware and act too much like people in a real world. The excuse of experimental A.I.s does not really hold up because there would still be bugs in the programming, which we have not encountered yet. The character of the succubi is odd to say the least. She exhibits concerns that no self respecting succubus would have and acts too much like a little girl. The bad guys are for too 2 dimensional and over powered. Anyone with a modicum of gaming experience can also tell you that in an established game, within a week of a new raid boss appearing, it has already been defeated. All of that toppled with the inability of NPCs to re-spawn makes the whole VR world unmarketable. Unfortunately I just can't seem to stop listening and will inevitably get the last book in the series.

I love this Series.

I first discovered this series on kindle and now follow the audio. Iggy Toma does a great job narrating and Markam's work is always great. This book was longer than the others but very well told. I love how Markam blends dark fantasy and gaming with pop culture references.

Great continuation for Ian

The story continues with Ian and his virtual fantasy world, with another arch enemy to take down... of course it's not that simple, beware the hunter 🙂 "have you got it?"

Should I be this invested? It seems wrong but feels right!

I love this series and it has been a long time since I was this invested in characters. Odd, considering the subject matter. I think my soul was shredded by the end. I wish book five were already available. When will that be by the way?

Loved this amazing instalment

This book delved deeper into the story of the two lovers. The perils that they face. And an awesome villain as well.
