I love this series! I feel like each book just keeps getting better! This one might have been my favorite so far!

Another swoony exciting Bodine love story

This book is the perfect fun, heart warming, small town summer fling romance with a side of romantic suspense and it is filled with all the feels. Natalie Duke and Stephen Dexter do a wonderful job narrating these characters to life. Jonah Bodine is a personal fitness trainer who lives in small town Bootleg Springs, WV. He moved to town a year ago to meet his half-siblings, 3 brothers and a sister. Shelby is working on her dissertation for her PhD in social work and using the town as the basis of the work. Jonah’s conniving sister forced them to be roommates and they creep towards more while training for a triathlon, fostering a puppy, and trying to stick to their fling parameters. Jonah and Shelby are summer fling, roommates sizzling chemistry perfection and watching them stumble through was fun and heartwarming. They both have some baggage to work through on their way to realizing that there’s nothing temporary about their relationship. Bootleg Springs is just the most hilarious, heart warming, sweet, nosy, eccentric small town that ever existed. This hilarious romance has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, fan your face steam, painful pasts, strong friendships, crazy families, quirky town folks, snort worthy moments, a mystery, some danger, surprises, and so much love. There is an overarching mystery plot line that runs through this series and this book gets close to the ending so the series needs to be enjoyed in order. I am excited to read about the final Bodine brother and the conclusion of the Callie mystery.

Out of the series I loved this most

Shelby is hilarious. They had good chemistry… Jonah was so patient and caring. I wish the narration was duet instead of dual. They did a good job though…

Fantastic narration.
This is one of my favorite family series ever. One of my favorite small town series. If you like either or both of those then you have to read these books. Jonah finds a family, a love, and a home. It is so sweet seeing him becoming intertwined with his siblings. I’m so glad Shelby wasn’t a no good journalist. I’m bittersweet about the next book because it will be over, but I HAVE to know the answers to all the Callie questions. Come get swept up in the chaos of Bootleg Springs. You won’t regret it.

Best Series Ever!

I can’t believe how great the Bootleg Springs series is….each love story is wonderful on it’s own, but the subplot (a long unsolved Bootleg Springs mystery) that develops story by story as the series progresses adds so much anticipation! I’m ready for the last book and can hardly wait.

Jonah and Shelby’s romance is a classic…forced proximity, with plenty of fun, including meddling Bootleggers and Bodine family members, sweet and steamy moments, and even pets. The recurring elements of Bootleggers and the community of Bootleg Springs feels like a warm hug now that I’ve finished the fifth in the series, Jonah and Shelby grow together and become enmeshed in the community and even strike out to help uncover critical aspects of the ongoing mystery.

Narration is stellar! I highly recommend Gin Fling…start at the beginning of the series, you won’t regret it!
