The narrator makes the characters jump off the page and into your heart. The mystery is great and keeps you guessing.

ONE OF THE BEST

I have missed listening to this series and cannot express how excited I am to have more of the books available. Genny's Ballad did not disappoint. Genesis and Cutter are 2 of my favorite characters, but I was a little concerned the story would flatten if it wasn't centered on Maddie and Brash. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book just added to the depth and warmth of the series. We learn so much about Genny and Cutter, while still enjoying time with the other characters we love. Granny Bert still had me shaking with laughter, and the interaction between Genny, Maddie, Cutter, and Brash was hilarious, touching, a little exasperating, at times, and just genuine. This series is one of my very favorites, and as a native Texan, that is high praise.
