Loved the Story, Struggled with the Narration.

As a longtime Rick Riordan fan, it was genuinely exciting to return to this world, and The Sun and the Star did not disappoint story wise.
Seeing the story told through Nico Di Angelo’s perspective felt fresh, emotional, and long overdue, and the collaboration with Mark Oshiro worked beautifully.
I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series.

That said, the audiobook narration was frustrating.
While A.J. Beckles did an excellent job with side characters and monsters, Nico and Will sounded almost identical throughout the book.
This made it hard to follow who was speaking or thinking, especially while multitasking, and I often had to rewind to understand scenes.

Overall, I still recommend the audiobook because the story itself is strong and worth experiencing, especially for Percy Jackson fans.
I just hope future installments improve the voice distinction, because with clearer narration, this could be truly outstanding.

I loved it! but-

at first it's a bit confusing, because the book keeps on jumping from the present to the future, but once the present catches up to the future, it's much less confusing! I love the story, and I'm so happy we got to hear a tiny bit of 'aftermath'! I can't recommend it enough,

Small bob

small bob is the main reason dis is 1of my fav books… cuz hes a cat and cats make every thing better! even awesome book series. i hope he appears in other books by rick riordan or maybe he could make more cat characters 🐈🐈🐈‍⬛
