Great ending, overall repetitive, slow narration

The premise and characters are strong. As a teenager Dax starred in a hit TV show and Kailyn was a huge fan. They end up attending law school together and then go their separate ways, meeting again five years after graduation. A tragic event brings them into a working relationship which develops into more. The book got very repetitive with Kailyn questioning her own actions and the custody issue starting to drag on longer than was interesting. Plus the female narrator spoke a bit slowly so I had to increase the speed to 1.2x, which is not something I usually do. I’ve read and listened to several other books by this author that were excellent. This was just not one of them.

Fun read with a little Hotness

This book was pretty tame compared to Hunting’s other books but definitely still carries the chemistry and sexiness you would expect from this writer. The storyline was definitely heartbreaking and the build up was steady. The only thing that ruined it for me was the Fangirl storyline, I found this part of the story a little juvenile for me. Kailyn was portrayed as driven, classy, independent but also passionate, the whole fangirl moments squashed that. Despite this, I’m still a “fan” of Hunting’s books.

An enjoyable romance

I really enjoyed this story. It wasn't overly cheesy and had an interesting story line. If you like laid back romance novels this one is good!

Meet Cute = Super Cute...

Loved the story! A bit more adult than i was prepared for but really enjoyed. Really easy read as i finished in a day and a half. Loved the characters!

Wish I’d read the reviews

I won’t say that this is not a good book...it is. But I wish I’d read the reviews before listening. The cover art and the description don’t reflect how heavy this book really is. I couldn’t even enjoy the growth of the romance between the characters because I was always waiting to see what was going to go wrong next. There was the “mystery” part of it, but to me it was obvious what was going on from the start. Maybe it’s because I have children, but this was a hard listen for me when I was expecting something completely different.

Sweeter than a milkshake

It’s just so amazing how each book from Helena is better than the last. He words, and the feelings they evoke, are like no other author I have read.

The narrators are wonderful and gave each character such depth and emotion that it was a seamless fade between them.

Meet Cute has a little bit of all of us in it ... love, loss, reunions, and forgiveness.

Cute, if somewhat predictable

This was a cute, if somewhat predictable, romantic comedy. I enjoyed the character development and the growing relationship between brother and sister as they find their new normal.

Really cute story

I liked the plot, characters, and sweet ending. I could have done without the steamy sex scenes high kind o took away from the relationships. Just a really fun summer or vacation read.

A True Meet Cute

Kailyn is a true fan girl to Daxton. They are an adorable couple. The tragedy in the story adds depth to the story. I love how Helena makes her characters so real. The reason for a 4 star and not 5 is that I was so frustrated with how Kailyn’s very predictable dilemma played out.

The scenes have good heat and heart and was very enjoyable to listen to.
