AMAZING Casting and Story

I read this book when it was released and I was so excited for this audiobook. All the voice actors were absolutely amazing and really brought the story to life. Vampires, Witches, Werewolves, elemental magic. 10/10 would recommend this book if you love spicy paranormal fantasy!

Paranormal Obsessed!

This story was incredible and my gods this audiobook was phenomenal! I can’t wait to continue on with this series.

Powerful!!!

I read this book a few months back, but the narrative version with all the amazing reading by talented narrators makes it come to life. I was so engrossed in the reading that I got lost in my daily life. So good, so passionate. The story of a young woman who is alone in the world but finds her place amongst monsters was amazing and so worth waiting for. Can’t wait for the second book.

OH MY GOD YES

This book was incredible. This is probably my absolute favorite Sadie Kincaid book ever read. I love the vampire and which aspect I love the spice. I love the voice actors. This book was incredible.

LOVED this book BUT…..

This book is the spicy equivalent to Vampire Diaries. I really enjoyed it as I do with most of Sadie Kincaid’s books. Voice actors are *chef’s kiss* and I’m excited to listen to the next installment when it releases on audio.
That being said, there were quite a few points where I noticed the editing was unnaturally choppy. The lines were cut too close together making the rhythm of speech sound weird / jarring. I believe Blue Nose Audio is a newer production studio so this might be the reason but definitely something that needs to be improved.

Wow, just WOW (a no spoiler review)

It’s a book to be listened to over and over. I love JF but Axels voice is OMG wow. Love June as well. Great female voice. The story is very cool and I like how she is curious and wants to know. I also like how animalistic the vampires are that was a very unexpected twist. Mostly vampire books are so calm collected not a lot of feeling but man there’s a lot of feeling in this book.

Definitely recommend for people who like fantasy with vampires and other supernatural beings. The spiciness is really great because there’s not a lot of internal monologue. It’s more of the actors talking to each other, which is perfect in my mind for spicy scenes.

Favorite read of 2024

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I'm so glad I did. I had been waiting for a good vampire story for a while and nothing had caught my eye until this one, even though I don't like bully romance. In fact, I avoid it like the plague most of the time but I had really been craving a vampire story so I took a chance. Patiently, I waited for the audiobook once it was announced because I just tend to enjoy audiobooks more. The way this story had me in a chokehold is insane! It was nearly impossible to put down. Every single aspect of the story fascinated me, the characters, the storyline, the romance, the spice, the emotions.

The narration by June DeBorahae, Maxine Mitchell, Sean Masters, Joe Arden, J. F. Harding, and Oscar Reyes was pure perfection, enthralling, and masterful. Each and every one of them did an incredible job. But it was chapter 57 that blew my mind. Joe Arden's performance in this chapter was so captivating, so raw, and real that I could literally feel his pain as he narrated it. I literally sat there, mouth open, speechless, processing how amazing this chapter was narrated. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Out of 232 books I've read so far in 2024 this is by far the best one. I don't know how but I will be "patiently" waiting for the audiobooks of the next 2 installments of this story because I can't imagine experiencing this book any other way.
