Publisher's Summary

Billionaire Dominic Baine stepped into Avery Ross' life when it was at its lowest. Obsessed with the beautiful, struggling artist, Nick was determined to have her. What began as a scorching seduction soon burned out of control, exploding into a white-hot passion neither of them could deny.

Yet Nick and Avery are two damaged people, both haunted by dark secrets with the power to destroy them. And for Nick, the ugly past that shaped him cannot compare to the unforgivable deception that drives Avery from his arms, from his life. Now the man accustomed to having everything he desires must find a way to redeem himself to the only woman he has ever loved.

Avery Ross has known heartbreak. She has known betrayal and loss but nothing like the pain that loving Dominic Baine has brought into her life. Reeling from the aftermath of his devastating revelation, instead of allowing despair to break her, she builds herself into something stronger - the fearless woman and gifted artist that Nick's passion has taught her to be. Yet her heart is in pieces, and despite everything she has, the one thing she needs is the man whose possessive desires and consuming love hold the power to either save them both or shatter her forever....

Contains mature themes.

Bad Male Narrator

I felt like this book was a bit slow, and the male narrator was cringy during the female voices.

Final 1/3 of three part non-trilogy

And if I forget to say it, I LOVED this book. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming and wonderful.

BUT IT WAS ONE BOOK NOT THREE! And I am really tired of being taken advantage of by this non-trilogy book-in-3-parts overpriced way of taking advantage of readers. Just tell us up front so we can CHOOSE to go into the story knowing what it will cost to hear the whole thing. A little honesty would go a long way.

That said....

I wasn’t overly fond of the dual narration twist on this installment. I knew Nicks voice and personality from the first two installments and didn’t need a new addition. I think I even resented it a bit. But mostly I hated how awful he was at Avery’s voice. He can NOT portray women. As a duet these two would shine... his voice was yummy any other time as the male lead in a story, duet style. But the dual idea of whole chapter doesn’t work for him.

As usual this book was sexy hot, erotic and scorchingly captivating.

Was it worth it? I got ‘book’ 1 in my romance package, 2 and 3 I used credits for. Because I saw the reviewers warnings I went into book one aware of what it would take if I needed to hear it all. Since they were each a decent length I went for it. Had Avery not been an artist I probably wouldn’t have. Because for me it resonated so well that although I hate the marketing trick I did want to check it out. Book three was extremely necessary. And yes, it WAS worth it!

Read it verse listen to it!

I have enjoyed the previous two books. I would recommend it if it was narrated by anyone else. Alexander ruined it for me. I wouldn’t of continued with the audible series if he would of been in the first two.

Brining in a male narrator for last book ruined it

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Keeping the same narrator for all 3 books!!

Would you recommend For 100 Reasons to your friends? Why or why not?

I just cannot due to the change of adding a male narrator. For me it was as though I was listening to 2 different books. The male narrator's female voice was just too different for me to enjoy this book.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Just way too different from the original narrator!!

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from For 100 Reasons?

None!

Any additional comments?

I'm seriously thinking of returning the audio, and should they ever release it again with the original narrator I would buy it.

The male narrator needs work.

The male narrator needs to work on his female character voice but other than that the book was good.

THEIR ROAD HAS BEEN PERILOUS AND PAINFUL

..... but their destination was definitely worth all the heartache.

Well I could list 100 reasons why I loved this trilogy.. or 100 reasons why I love Lara Adrian’s books.. but I’ll save time and just say this was a gripping and compelling conclusion to Dominic and Avery’s whirlwind journey. And, in this third part of the trilogy, it’s a year after their heartbreaking breakup and Dominic feels he’s given Avery enough time to heal after the blow that tore them apart. Their attraction to each other and physical pull towards one another has never been in doubt.. nor the love that shines through.. but will it be enough to mend a broken heart? And will it be enough to bring those final walls of Dominic’s down to reveal the last of his shocking secrets?

Every bit as enjoyable as books 1 and 2 and this has been a bitter-sweet journey of revelations and character growth as both the damaged hero and heroine had their fair share of secrets stopping them from ever getting their HEA. But thankfully in the end love conquered, love overcame and love prevailed. It had sex and romance, ups and downs, heartache and sorrow, passion and pain, ugly memories and ghosts of the past to confront. And Dominic and Avery went through it all side-by-side to finally conquer the demons and doubts that shackled them to the past.. to get peace.. to get closure.. and to get to fully live and to fully love each other. It was great to hear Dominic’s POV as well as Avery’s this time round.

Worth a credit? Absolutely.. no more secrets, no more lies, no more shattered dreams and definitely no more broken promises.. and what didn’t destroy them ultimately made them stronger.

For 100 Reasons

Enjoyed the story. Summer Morton is an excellent narrator. But Alexander Cendese definitely needs to work on his ability to do female voices. Because in this audio he was terrible.

A decent finish to the series

So it ends. I will say this book smacks of Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series. Not sure which cane first but the many ‘like’ scenarios confused my brain as to which story I was listening to. All in all a decent story with a ridiculous amount of sex. Can’t believe I said that but it’s true. Most of it was predictable but that’s what I expect from a lot in this genre. I rated the performance a two simply because when Nick voiced the female character, she sounded like Gollum from lord of the rings. Wasn’t told keen on his announcer voice either. I loved the narration in the previous book. This one, not so much.

Hot

Hot. Hot. Hot. The book is excellent, however the male voice for Avery was horrible.
