Publisher's summary
Set across Istanbul and Oxford, from the 1980s to the present day, Three Daughters of Eve is a sweeping tale of faith and friendship, tradition and modernity, love and an unexpected betrayal.
Peri, a wealthy Turkish housewife and mother, is on her way to a dinner party at a seaside mansion in Istanbul when a beggar snatches her handbag. As she wrestles to get it back, a photograph falls to the ground - an old polaroid of three young women and their university professor. A relic from a past - and a love Peri had tried desperately to forget.
The photograph takes Peri back to Oxford University, as a 19-year-old sent abroad for the first time. To her dazzling, rebellious Professor and his life-changing course on God. To the house she shares with her two best friends, Shirin and Mona, and their arguments about identity, Islam and feminism. And finally, to the scandal that tore them all apart.
Shirin, Peri and Mona, they were the most unlikely of friends. They were the Sinner, the Believer and the Confused.

In the ancient city of Nineveh, on the bank of the River Tigris, King Ashurbanipal of Mesopotamia, erudite but ruthless, built a great library that would crumble with the end of his reign. From its ruins, however, emerged a poem, the Epic of Gilgamesh, that would infuse the existence of two rivers and bind together three lives. In 1840 London, Arthur is born beside the stinking, sewage-filled River Thames. With an abusive, alcoholic father and a mentally ill mother, Arthur’s only chance of escaping destitution is his brilliant memory.

Story
My character has been shaped by two opposing forces; the pressure to conform to social norms, and the pressure to be true to myself. To be honest with you, these forces have really torn me apart. They've pulled me one way and then the other. At times, they've left me questioning my entire existence. But please don't think that I'm angry or morose. I'm not. Because through adversity comes knowledge. I've suffered, it's true. But I've learned from my pain. I've become a better person.

Story
No Worries shows how anyone can live a stress-free financial life and build wealth for the long term. This is not about millions of tiny decisions that drain the joy from life, like skipping daily coffee to save a few bucks. And it’s not simply about having more money. The secret lies in adopting the right attitude to money and getting a small number of big things right.

Great story
Deep, thoughtful story handling some of the most difficult questions. Now, I want to dive into some of the referenced philosophical texts.

Good story but not as good as her other books
I enjoyed this book but felt pulled in more for the melodrama. Shafak is a great writer, but I prefer her other books more than this one. It’s my preference- not a reflection of her work.

Beautiful, compelling, timely
Elif Shafak’s writing is evocative, personal, and universally human. I will listen to this story again. Infused throughout the compelling story are moments to remember, phrases to contemplate. And Alix Dunmore’s narration is so good, I look for books she narrates. Often narrators gum up a story with too much imposed feeling. Ms Dunmore lets the story reveal itself freely and truly.

One Superb Read! A Must!
A superlative novel that portrays brutal honesty and whimsy equally and artfully. The characters are as complex as the well scribed plot. I’d recommend this beautifully crafted book to readers who love history and fact and people and good reads. You will be moved and challenged. Worth the endeavor!

They should be made into films. I would love to see some Turkish movies again.

Awesome book
I love reading every single word written by Elif Shafak. I get a feeling of elation/thrill by reading some of her beautiful/poetic statements. This book gave many opportunities for such feelings of elation. Loved the book!

Beautiful story.
It was so easy to listen to and follow. I wish the story could keep going, but for the subject, I thought the end was appropriate.
