From “the next major voice in Southern fiction” (Elin Hilderbrand) and the best-selling author of the Peachtree Bluff series comes an odd-couple tale of friendship that asks just how much our past choices define our happiness.

It’s summertime on the North Carolina coast and the livin’ is easy.

Unless, that is, you’ve just lost your mother to cancer, your sister to her extremist husband, and your husband to his executive assistant. Meet Gray Howard. Right when Gray could use a serious infusion of good karma in her life, she inadvertently gets a stranger, Diana Harrington, fired from her job at the local pharmacy.

Diana Harrington’s summer isn’t off to the greatest start either: Hours before losing her job, she broke up with her boyfriend and moved out of their shared house with only a worn-out Impala for a bed. Lucky for her, Gray has an empty guest house and a very guilty conscience.

With Gray’s kindness, Diana’s tide begins to turn. But when her first love returns, every secret from her past seems to resurface all at once. And, as Gray begins to blaze a new trail, she discovers, with Diana’s help, that what she envisioned as her perfect life may not be what she wants at all.

In her warmest, wisest novel yet, Kristy Woodson Harvey delivers a discerning portrait of modern womanhood through two vastly different lenses. Feels Like Falling is a beach bag essential for Harvey fans - and for a new generation of listeners.

Great story and great narration by both narrators!

I found this author last summer and devoured everything she'd written. I love her characters, and especially love the Peachtree Bluff series. I eagerly anticipated the next installment in the series. Instead, Feels Like Falling, introduced new, but equally lovable, characters. Great story and great narration by both narrators!

Wonderful Story!

This is my first book by this author, and I loved it. I loved the friendships between Gray, Diana, and Marcy and how the three women had such a solid bond. Gray and Marcy were friends for years, then Gray and Diana meet at the perfect time, in a not so perfect way. All three women ended up being more like sisters and I loved that! I’ve had a friend like that since I was young and so I connected with them right away.

Then Gray’s sister Quinn is introduced. I absolutely loved Gray, Marcy and Diana. But to me, Quinn was the most interesting character, even though she had the least amount of time in the book. I loved how she grew as a person and sister.

The men in the book were great characters too although it took a very long time for me to change my mind about Greg.

I also enjoyed learning about the relationship between Diana and her brother. Very touching! But Diana and Frank’s relationship? Now that was an amazing story inside of an amazing story!

I loved the descriptions of Cape Carolina! It sounds like my kind of place.

The narration was perfect. Both Kelsey Navarro and Amanda Ronconi did an excellent job.

This was a book that I didn’t want to end. I can’t recommend it enough!

Good

It was a quick, cute, light read.
Trigger warning: abortion towards the end.
I felt that part could have been left out

Great summer listen

I loved listen while walking and laying in the pool. The collision of two very different relatable characters was well done. Not a life changing listen but a fun escape.

Great story. Narrator were not.

Loved the story but not the narrators. The only reason I finished it was because I loved the story. Wish I would’ve read the actual book.

Very credit worthy

I loved almost all of this book. The relationships between all the women is what everyone wants in their friends Truth, honesty, support, humor and no matter what acceptance. Diana was a trip and such a pillar of strength. I was so happy for her to get her fairy tale happily ever after, but the one flaw in this book was Frank. Not at all. 20 years and his excuse is that "I was a kid and afraid of my mom" and expects it to all be fine. And though I adore her and wanted her to be happy, taking him back so easily didn't ring true. She deserved better than a 40 year old man who was still an immature child. Gray is learning to navigate life without her cheating ex jerk while trying to deal some major losses. Loved her spirit and that she managed to get out of her own way and find happiness. I truly adore this author. This is definitely worth your time. The narration of the audiobook is perfect.

Narrative.

Story was very predictable. I did not care for the narrative of the character Diana although she was only 40 years old narrative made her sound like she was 80. The Voice graded on my nerves.
I did not really care for this book. I wished I would have saved my money.
