A Gentle Story of Loss Regrets and Renewal

I loved this story about a retirement village and the funny and colorful residents that live there. Great character development!
I Did not want it to end. I sure Hope there is a sequel in the works!
I am a big fan of her books and Ms Denton does not disappoint with this one.
The narrator was perfect.

Heart warming! An excellent book of love, loss, friendship and recovery. A feel good book for the soul.

Best Audiobook Ever

I picked this book hesitantly...I’m so glad I decided to listen. It’s my new favorite. It’s filled with happy and sad moments. It shows a way to work through some of life’s most difficult problems with courage and laughter. I found myself laughing out loud on so many occasions. What a light-hearted way to approach heavy subjects. It also stayed clean throughout. What a delightful listening experience!

First impressions

First impressions may be this is a light hearted fun read. It is! However, if you’re old enough or have lived enough the deeper subject matter takes this novel to a much deeper level. Characters come to life and transform while their fictional lives connect to our real lives in a way that nudges us forward to be ourselves.

So sweet

This story was sweet and endearing, not too far from real stories. It makes you feel hopeful. The narrator is exceptional !

Great Book

A wonderful story of renewal after life has stomped people down. Touching and relatable, and the performance was seamless.

I loved it! I used to live in Fairhope so I love all her books. It reminds me of home.

I thought nothing could be better than The Hideaway! But The Summer House knocked it out of first place in my book 😉. I could not stop listening. You weren’t be disappointed!
