I've only been back home a few weeks and already strange events are happening all over town. Wishes are coming true to the delight of those affected. Despite the seemingly good fortune, I need to put on my Federal Bureau of Magic badge and get to work. I can't let supernatural shenanigans disrupt the natural order of life here, no matter how awesome they seem. When their good luck starts to take a dark turn, I have to kick my efforts into overdrive.

I'm less than thrilled when the Federal Bureau of Magic sends a training instructor to make sure my skills are up to snuff. Agent Quinn Redmond is an uptight fae with a rigid approach to rules and regulations that even a do-gooder like me finds stifling. When an eerie fog settles over the town, residents begin acting out in response, resulting in overtime hours for Chief Fox and local law enforcement. Things take a deadly turn when one of the residents ends up dead and I worry his death is only the beginning.

Will I manage to shine a light on the situation or is the whole town destined to remain in a fog?

a fun read

Easy flow and likeable characters. the books are written as a series. One flows into the next. If you like this style, you will enjoy the series

I love the refreshing representation of Demons and different types of supernatural than you usually read about

I love the relationships of the family. They’re quirky. The interesting balance of good versus heroine of the story comes from an evil family, but shows how but we consider evil might not be that simple.

These books make me smile!

Love the story, the narration is perfection! Just pure fun!!! Book 5 is my favorite so far!

A spirit is non CORPOREAL not a corporal, an officer ranking above private first class in the Army…

Aside from the narrator’s frequent use of the word corporeal mispronounced as corporal, I quite enjoyed how each character was convincingly portrayed! Such snark and humor was a welcome escape.

Federal Bureau of MAGIC???

Good fantasy well developed storylines with heroine as a rare paranormal. Learn what an agent of the FBM does!!! Easy listening with humor, a little romance, mystery and suspense. Love family dynamics. Narrator keeps you engaged and does a good job with the different characters! Especially like have a trio of books to listen to when I want to binge listen.

Only one big objection

In general, I enjoy this series. But I very much object to the smearing of “gingers” (red haired people). Why is that acceptable?

The story line

got tired of mom and grandma fights and family degrading of each other all the time

Great boxset

I really enjoyed this paranormal mystery box set. The premise of having a Federal Bureau of Magic to control supernatural is such a fun twist on the FBI. In these books, we meet Eden Fury, former FBI agent who is relocated to her hometown of Chipping Cheddar, Massachusetts in order to take a job with the bureau of magic.

Grandma"s Got To Go

I got books 1, 2 and 3 as a set. I couldn't wait to get to the end. The story lines were decent and kind of original. The narrator started out pretty bad but got better along the way. But some of the characters were horrid. Eden's family was absolutely toxic. Grandma was TOTALLY over the top. There was hardly a decent word spoken to, or about Eden throughout the books by her family. I wanted to punch Grandma every time she opened her mouth. The family fighting got on my nerves constantly.

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure Eden's friend's name should be pronounced Clara with a long "A", not with a short "A" like in the word "car". Every time she said it I cringed.

I was surprised at the relationship status at the end of book 3. Kind of a twist. No spoilers hopefully.

I would not recommend this series. If you've already started it you're going to need to read book 3 anyway.
