A great love story 

This book is so well written, this author does such a fantastic job of completely drawing you in. The friendships, the love, the angst, the true to life drama is so well portrayed. The narration was perfect and just added that much more to this fantastic love story!

The southern accent were solendid

Pretty good book

I liked this book a lot, it was sometimes unbelievable but that’s because I work in a hospital and I know the reality of heart surgery and this was not accurate at all. But that didn’t take away what a sweet story it was. Until the next book. Narrators did well also.

uh...

This was a great story but I don't know if I was the only one...the reader for Jagger. I just couldn't stop picturing him spitting or that little saliva that gathers at some people's lips when they speak. ugh...I did like the book as a whole. On to the next book!

The accuracy of her diagnosis

Each unexpected turn left me delighted. Every character was well-developed. The characters from the South did act within their stereotypes, which, as a Southerner from Florida, I appreciated.

Beautifully written!

Rebecca Yarros can do no wrong. I adored this book. It was beautifully written. I was deeply invested in Paisley & Jaggers happiness. They are two really beautiful humans and I love their love. I will say Paisley’s medical issues were very accurate, I’ve been there for someone I love that went through a lot of the same things. The accuracy settled the story in reality for me and I appreciate the attention to detail.
One thing Rebecca Yarros will always do is make me cry. My heart broke through some situations in this book but I ended up crying from happiness at the end of this book. I feel like Paisley and Jagger are real people and I have so much happiness for them. Such likable beautiful characters with their own heartbreak, trauma, and pain and they so effortlessly help heal each other.
The narration was top notch. Teddy Hamilton for Jagger was. *chefs kiss* both narrators just elevated the experience. This was a beautiful written story and I highly recommend!

Good for the soul

Here’s the thing about Rebecca Yarros. All her books have actual real life problems (even Fourth Wing), but the endings are always just perfect and soul soothing. None of the ambiguos endings or tragic endings some masochist love. Life is too hard as it is. These books are SO good!

Great young love story

Even though they are in their 20's, it is a great love story. Learning to love and trust one another. Forgiving themselves and others. The narration was great. Definitely ends with a happy ending. Swoon!!

better than expected

this is better than the first in the series. there is more of a story line, especially towards the end.
