The fourth and final part of the Murderbot Diaries series that began with All Systems Red.

Murderbot wasn't programmed to care. So its decision to help the only human who ever showed it respect must be a system glitch, right?

Having traveled the width of the galaxy to unearth details of its own murderous transgressions, as well as those of the GrayCris Corporation, Murderbot is heading home to help Dr. Mensah - its former owner (protector? friend?) - submit evidence that could prevent GrayCris from destroying more colonists in its never-ending quest for profit.

But who's going to believe a SecUnit gone rogue? And what will become of it when it's caught?

Science fiction is a genre as diverse as you can imagine. There are stories that take place in deep space, often depicting teams exploring or running away from something; stories that focus on life at the most cellular level, such as a pandemic tale; and stories that take place in times that feel similar to our own. Depicting themes of existentialism, philosophy, hubris, and personal and historical trauma, sci-fi has a cadre of topics and moods.

Murderbot Diaries are hilarious and seriously one of the best series I've listened too. The performance was great and I can't wait to hear more from the Narrator. As for Martha Wells story, I loved it. She does a great job to create a story around the perfect reluctant antihero. I would recommend this for short road trips or just hanging around.

Love this series

With the last two series that I tried to listen to and could not complete, I was ready to just cancel my account. Fortunately, I happened upon this series. Since the introductory first book was at no charge, unless I wanted the dramatized version, I went forward. I am so glad that I did. One of the things I love about this series is that the main character is actually LIKEABLE! She also doesn't resort to constant profanity for it's shock value, a common go to for unimaginative authors. I am not exposed to one exhaustive sex scene after another...a recent series had to be written by a 13 yr old documenting his wet dreams.... this series, this writer... these are real stories! Each segment stands alone as a complete book, even though each new installment continues the adventures of the main character. And each new story is a delight. And I will delight in following this author! Thank you, for your talent and professionalism. Hmmm, how novel.

So Very Well Written

it's like listening to a reformed terminator's point of view on human beings and what they dont get about bots.

I love this character.

this is an amazing series and I truly hope it continues. I. am a sci find guy, so Martha's other works really don't speak to me. but this... wow. and then Kevin r. Free. no one could have narrated this better.

The fourth installment of the Murderbot franchise sees the return of past characters, and some interesting character growth. I'm curious to see where the story goes now that the first arc appears to have been completed, and the characters in a different social situation. I'm also curious to see if the 5th book, being a full length novel, is as riveting as the novella format.

So Entertaining!
