Unfortunately, that proved way more uncomfortable than he'd anticipated. So when Scott unexpectedly seeks him out, Tad's too drained to fight his turmoil any longer. He agrees to hang out, not knowing Dom boy Max will end up part of the deal.

Seriously erotic!

I received this audiobook at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Omgoodness! Sometimes I'm just in the mood for some seriously hot erotica. These books never disappoint. I read them all individually as they came out, and I actually own a signed copy of the whole bundle of all the books.

Book one: Looser Takes All
Almost two hours of one extremely hot sex scene. With a bit of BDSM overtones, purely hot and raunchy sex. Tad still hasn't looked closely at his life, so the conflicting emotions are a bit overwhelming.

Book two: Test of Endurance
More to the story in this one, until Tad decides to put his conflicting emotions to the test. Both he and Scott are surprised by their lack of control after an innocent interaction. Things once again turn scorching, but without the BDSM aspect... well, unless you consider edging a part of that world.

Book three: Sideline Submission
A month has passed, and Tad has been fighting with himself over what he has been learning about himself, both from his life before, and his current predicament with Scott. Again, they arrange an innocent meeting. Tad is filled with sexual tension, but makes it through, even hoping for more. Enter Max; Scott's best friend and roommate, the true Dom of the household. He interrupts their plans by asking them to play the roles of voyer for one of his scenes. Throughout the scene, the sexual tension between Tad and Scott escalates to a fevered pitch. One thing leads to another, and again, we get a seriously hot sex scene; only this time there are emotions involved. Unfortunately, we get some serious foreshadowing about Max, not only at the end, but also when they first arrive at the house.

I wanted to own this bundle, because it has been a while since I have read the books, and I knew Michael Pauley would do an amazing job in his performance. I could have listened to this through the Romance Package, which I had not realized until I had already requested to review the audiobook. But I am so glad that I did. Mainly because I will now own both volumes.

The author calling this series, “A journey of erotic discovery,” is exactly the description of what’s in store when you follow Scott and Tad. Scott is a personal trainer but also calls himself a part time Dom. When Tad loses a card game, he finds himself with almost no choice but to submit to the allotted time with Scott in control. Scott becomes everything Tad never knew he wanted or needed. He never considered himself attracted to men and the feelings Scott brings out in him turn his world upside down. This volume mostly moves from one intimate moment to the next and the scenes continue on and on and never do get old. Knight clearly writes heated erotic scenes that capture the journey Tad is on and it’s a skill to be able to sustain that. We don’t learn too much about either guy and the book is not designed for that at this point. But ever so slowly, Tad starts to come around to admitting his feelings, but his journey is far from over.

You have to be able to go along with the set-up of this book and how Scott and Tad meet. Tad also has never been in a submissive position before and for Scott calling himself a Dom, there is a lack of consent issue and there are never any limits discussed and the book should be approached as an erotic fantasy. Scott and Tad ultimately could make a great couple and for insane chemistry with a hint of romance, this is a good bet.

Michael Pauley is a favorite narrator and I will often select an audio based on his narration. His voice is clear and pleasant and for this audio, he sustained one intimate scene after the next. The voices of Scott and Tad weren’t as distinct as I would have liked, and they often sounded the same which runs counter to everything else I have listened to from Pauley. He is still a good choice as he brings the erotic world of Scott and Tad to life.

Damn!

Super spicy listen! While it's fairly low on plot (which shouldn't come as a surprise), it's a very engaging listen. I'm not sure I would have stuck with it in print, given some of the repetitive language and so-so writing, but Michael Pauley lends it a suspense and a heat which keeps you listening far longer than you might have intended. At first his heavy/frequent breathing was a bit distracting, but by the third book I either grew used to it, or it wasn't quite as extreme. Overall, this is definitely a great listen when you want something super hot that draws out the action far longer than the normal erotic/romance tale. It ends on a promising note, and I was really happy to see there's more (which I immediately bought)!

Hot, beautiful, love story!

I fell in love with the characters pretty quickly. Especially, Scott. How hard it must be to give your heart to someone that you care for so deeply, all the while wondering if that person is going to be brave enough to admit and act on their feelings for you. Tad really does love him, he is just scared to admit it and be forthright about his sexuality. They are beautiful together. The sexy scenes are so very hot. 🔥 Michael Pauley does an amazing job with narration! I highly recommend this series.
