After having listened to the sample of this audio (and having fallen in love with the cover), I was excited to give it a listen! So glad that I did since I barely paused this with how immersed I was within the story! Cracknell really did a phenomenal job on not only brining the characters and story to life, but even with the added effects he did of people “shouting far away” to give the sense of so, was amazing! Not to forget his sexy, gruff voice had me swooning as well🥰! MAKE SURE to really listen to the trigger warnings since this book is BRUTAL if this is not your speed! Also to note: this is told in ROMAN’S POV for the majority of the audio. loved it and will be playing this again for sure! Highly recommend checking this one out! Looking forward to more works by Bennet & Cracknell!

From Best to Bested was such a surprise! This book had me feeing pretty much every emotion. It was DARK, gritty, bleak, atmospheric, heartbreaking, infuriating, gut-wrenching, and TWISTY right to the very end. I’m going to be thinking about this book for a long time. MN Bennet can write anything, I swear! His range truly impresses me. Definitely check the triggers before you start, and always take care of your mental health.

This book took me on an emotional roller coaster. I didn’t want to listen to the last hour because I was afraid of the outcome … great read and def a steamy read 10/10” 😜

This waa a darkboo.k. Roman's fall from his position of power in the prison was hard to hear but the narrator said a wonderful job in showing how far he fell. Ezra is easy to hate but you want more of him.. The twist at the end was not what m expected but enjoyed.

First, if you're wondering about listening to this book, yes it's DARK and yes you may want to read the trigger warnings first.
If you dont mind triggers, then OMG go for it.
That story is so well written and really different from all I've read until now. I'm left speechless!
Nick Cracknell did a great job with his narration but I have to admit I listened it in 1.2, 1 was a bit to slow.
I don't want to say much more because I don't want to spoil any of it.
