This was a new narrator for me and I thoroughly enjoyed their voice acting. The story kept me engaged with its high fantasy and I can't wait for a book 2.

"Battles are not won by the strength of arms." Thos book was well written and great character development all throughout. Erevan is the man.

Incredible LitRPG story in a GREAT setting!!!!

Pivots does it again, this time with a gamelit masterpiece (his whisper of iron was isekai). I made the huge mistake of buying this audiobook before work and found myself sneaking listens all day long, finishing it like a madman on the way home. The book is impossible to put down, with each 'act' ending with some craziness and awesome interludes that give the story all kinds of story depth. The characters are incredible, with the dwarves being my favorite (played really well by Exo, nice job mate!). The story definitely has old school RPG vibes, with the classes and skills interesting and scalable. The MC has a very interesting journey ahead of him, and I cannot wait for book 2!!!!

This is going to be an awesome series. I can not wait to see how this one developed over time. I really like how the MC takes what would have been a life destroying situation and makes the best out of it. Very much like the count of monte Cristo.

Excellent world building and intrigue

After reading Pivots' Whisper of Iron series, I had to search out his next series. Quite a bit different than WoI with much more intrigue and potential plot directions. Really enjoyed the RPG buildup, with it being detailed but not onerous to follow. Excited to find out more!

This is too good for a new author.

Isn't this like Pivot's 4th book?
There's no way this book should be this good.
Our MC, a lower class elf, the son of the village blacksmith gets thrown in prison for doing something to an upper-class kid, even though he should have gotten a slap on the wrist.
Lots of politics and intriguing going on in the prison and, of course, the MC is involved but not sure why.
No swearing to mention and no intimate scenes.
Just love this book and everything Pivots has put out so far.
Narrator did a great job. No mispronounciantions or anything else noticeable to take the listener out of the story.
Well written, narrated and produced.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Wow this really blew me away. Love that were finally getting a proper blacksmithing MC story! All your favorite fantasy races are included and the interactions between them are well done imo. Looking forward to the next entry!

I really enjoyed this book. I appreciated that the mc started out less skilled and experienced and developed his skills and suvh throughout the story. I felt at times that I wanted to know more about the history of the world and the people in it. But overall I definitely look forward to seeing where it goes. The situation is definitely unique to anything I've read before and I enjoyed the development of the main character's relationships or connections with other characters.
