Informative and effective guide

I’ve seen this book many times in various books stores, yet I had no interest in it. Then one day I was lead to it and bought it. I found the information quite useful at this point (2014) in my life. I’m going through a period of looking at how I’ve been conducting myself and the direction my life has been going. I found the techniques here and on the website after taking the EQ test very useful in my growth. I found ways to stop sniping at people and ways to work through issues with people. I’m finding the book very useful and condensed many other books I’ve read into one easy reference material. I have this in paper form as well as digital and I hand it out to people to read now. I recommend it to anyone looking to change or enhance their relationship skills.

Informative and effective guide

Emotions rule our lives and if we don't learn how to control them, they will control us. Reading this book has taught me that I lack emotional intelligence and I didn't even know it! I always thought I had a firm grasp on my emotions but reading Justin's book really opened my eyes. I have come to realize that my emotions are not in check as much as I thought they were, and the emotional intelligence that I do have is limited. If I don't continue to exercise my emotional intelligence muscle, it will begin to atrophy. This book is an amazing asset and a must read - highly recommended!

Best Bundle

The Emotional Intelligence focus of this book is mainly on changing the listener’s internal thoughts and feelings from a mental, almost spiritual perspective. Things like: “Close your eyes and see the color and location of the feeling you experienced.

This was a great book.

Great stuff but, as others have said, this is not a work of fiction. The narrator should not try to do voices as if it was one. I had to skip through the first part because it was too irritating. Once I got past the bad character performances the content was great and the narrator was also good.

Great Information

What a fantastic book, Justin Isobaric! It was the first book I read on emotional intelligence, a practice I had little-to-no knowledge of. The principles and concepts of EQ are described in such a basic, yet interesting way. It made self improvement almost a no-brainier. And even though I struggle every day to increase my emotional intelligence, it’s a path I’m glad to be on. Thank you!

So great and filled with useful info

Before I read this book, I didn't think I knew much about emotional intelligence... But the truth is, EQ (or the lack of it) runs all of our lives! This book explains EQ clearly, while relating it to real-life experiences and everyday situations. EQ Applied is intriguing, real, and even humorous at times! Reading this book gave me an opportunity to take back some control in my life - instead of letting emotions run me. This is a MUST READ - you will love it!

Great for Everyone!

I have been a victim of "monkey mind" for as long as I can remember. Years ago, when I tried to get a better handle on the events that were controlling my life, I focused on the external forces that I was sure had everything to do with my success [and failure] in life. If I was happy, something made me happy. If I was sad or depressed, something else made that happen, too. In my quest to gain greater control of my own life I realized that the thoughts I was creating every moment had everything to do with the quality of life I would experience at any given moment. Getting to the point, "Declutter Your Mind" is a powerful book on gaining total control of your mind, environment and shaping the future as you want it to be and not just relying on life to happen as it should

Perfect for Beginners

This book is really helping me. I have anxiety that comes and goes and the meditations are already helping, even though I'm still on the first one. The writing really speaks to me, it explains exactly what I am thinking in my head.

Great Information

First off, this book was purchased for my wife, she wanted to read it as she has heard good things about the book. I ended up rading it and found that I could not put it down. There are some very informative things listed in here that gave me the desire to try and understand the entire person before jumping to a conclusion based off one incident. I enjoyed it

Helpful Book!!!

It would enable you to view your automatic thoughts from a different perspective, basically giving you more insight into them. The thing is, negative and uncomfortable situations aren't things we can simply walk away from-but knowing how to deal with them properly is a good start.

purely condescending

spends a long time explaining all the different ways people with low EQ are so much worse than people with high EQ. other books are far better at helping you rather than belittling you.
