Publisher's Summary

The Aurium claim they want to help…but can they be trusted?

A mysterious plague started Kira on her epic quest, but dragons are no longer dying, and it’s all thanks to General Ignatius of the Aurium. He and his people have come from another world to share their magic and help the people of Ragond. They’ve even set up a school for young dragon riders like Kira. It all seems too good to be true, and Kira can’t help but feel that something isn’t right.

Though as Kira and her dragon Gilda learn more about Aurium magic she can’t help but be intrigued. And as she gets closer to the general’s son, Lysander, she’s willing to believe the Aurium are everything they say they are.

Until she discovers that, behind the glittering facade, deadly secrets are mounting. One of those secrets has to do with Kira’s very own family, complicating things even more. But when uncovering the truth leads her to discovering the dark past of the Aurium, can Kira convince the Council of the danger before Ragond is destroyed?

Another wonderful, fun and action packed book

I love Ava Richardson’s Dragon books! So action packed and great stories. Twists and turns throughout. Rebekah Nemethy continues to entertain with her story telling and great character voices.

Forces Unite

General Ignatius has set up a new school for dragon riders, witches and such, but all his good intentions are not what they seem. More than one secret unfolds bringing anguish, enlightenment, liberation and pending war.

Book 2 focuses less on Kira and Guilder's close relationship and more on the school, who she can trust and her naivety. It is a coming of age story which show's Kira's vulnerability and unwillingness to listen to sound advice from the people who are close to her. Book 2 is a bit long winded with an obvious plot but ends intriguingly in a cliffhanger, which brings various different forces to Kira's side. I wish there had been more thrill and mystery to the plot. Like the first book, although the narration was good I wasn't a fan of the spell-singing.

I was given this book for free of my own choosing and I voluntarily left this review.
