I enjoyed almost every element of the book. I did not enjoy the Trading Card element of the magic system. This really made it hard to enjoy. The idea that you have a deck of cards and you are hoping to draw the right card in real battle, instead of a game just broke me out of the story every time.

I will not be listening further due to the trading card system, but if you enjoy that type of element in your books, than you should definitely listen as everything else was great!

Nothing particularly wrong with story, and maybe it’s just the narration, but it was just boring. MC was boring, “suspenseful” parts were boring, fights were boring, etc. I made it a few hours (close to half way) before stopping.
