love these adventures period

the writing is so well done and each book flows seamlessly into the next in the ongoing adventures and intrigue filled life of Hajar Darkan and his friends in a world where might trumps all and survival most times a triumph all it own. very well written, very well narrated, narrator tells sorry wonderfully with each character fully defined... worth the credit. if you've made it this far in the story you already know how special this series truly is!!!!

I loved this book the part with the chanting and those of you will know what I'm talking about near the end of this book was perfect. Long live the Mad General !

Good continuation

More of the same story wise. New peaks cleared , new powers and enemies conquered. I will be getting the next book. my even read it instead of listening.

Wonderful addition to the series...

This tenth episode relates the opening moves of the war between Darnassus and Lancan, where Derek of the Steppe and Hadjar battle throughout. As always, the book covers so many events it's hard to condense into a good summary. You must read this! If you haven't been reading this series, begin with Book 1 today. I'm already impatient for the next book!

love this story arc, can't wait for #11

Really enjoying this series. It continues to have a great story line, with unique support characters and an enjoyable path for the MC. I hope that Kevin Collins stays the narrator of this series as he's done such a great job so far. I do wish the opposition characters had a little more variety in the "I'm mad, let's fight" voices. The "lower your voice and yell" voice that's associated with everyone makes it tough in larger fights. It would nice to hear more variety. That said, I'm certain none of us can really understand how difficult narration is and I hope Collins continues to be the narrator of this and many other series.
** I admit I'm doing a copy/paste on this series. I didn't review them when I listened to them but felt these books deserved a review.
