Publisher's summary

Stone Barrington gains an adversary that he can't seem to shake in the electrifying new adventure from the number-one New York Times best-selling author.

Stone Barrington's latest lady friend is full of surprises, both good and ill. A sensual woman with unexpected desires, Stone finds her revelations in the boudoir extremely agreeable. But on the other hand, she also has some unfinished business with a temperamental man who believes Stone is an intolerable obstacle in the way of his goals.

In a cat-and-mouse game that trails from sun-drenched Bel-Air to a peaceful European estate and gorgeous Santa Fe, Stone and his friend remain just one step ahead of their opponent. But their pursuer is not a man who can stand to be thwarted, and tensions are mounting...and may soon reach the boiling point.

The Stone to the rescue

The usual nonsense but I enjoyed it. Stone was up to his antics with a beautiful needing his help.

fun book

I enjoyed this book.... i loke his books when they involve Teddy/Billy, but (spoiler alert) I really don't think the threesome was necessary. Stone already gets around enough!!!!

Read or listened to all 38. Stone is the dude!

This is typical Barrington. To know him is to love him.. Cool, rich, politically placed, smooth with the ladies and surrounded by friends. We all want to be Stone Barrington.

Loved it!

Stuart Woods nailed it. Again. And Tony Roberts is wonderful. Again. Another one soon please, I've been a close friend of Stone since he barely had enough to pay the long-suffering gun slinging Joan. I put the upcoming tomes in my list so I can begin listening the day they come out.

Nothing Happens

Tony Roberts is an amazing narrator. He is capable of creating multiple characters and giving them subtle different voices or full on accents. This story seems to be leading toward something that never really happens. Just a series of inconveniences that are handled by other people except for the main character. The most satisfying part about the ending is that the book was over.
