I have one complaint about this audiobooks.... I WANT MORE! Seriously I loved Chris & Josh. They have incredible chemistry and their banter just makes it even better. I loved that they were rivals who just couldn't help the attraction. Oh and did I mention that his story is HOT HOT HOT!!! Oh and Grant as a side character I was actually bouncing I was so happy to see him involved.
As a huge Lauren Blakely fan I knew I would love this, K.D. Casey is new to me and now she will be on my watch list for sure (hoping for some audiobook in her future)! I mean if Lauren liked her book enough to want to write with her then it must be awesome right!

The narration was perfect.... I mean JF Harding & Tim Paige of course its perfect!

Fantastic enemies to lovers story!

Josh and Chris are two baseball players who play on rival New York teams. They’ve got that standard love/hate team rivalry going on but secretly want each other. Flirting during the games while on base. Then the infamous dirty slide occurs and ruffles Josh’s feathers and causes him to lose his cool during an interview after the World Series. Chris makes a move and Josh doesn’t quite know what to do with himself after that. No matter what they do, neither can get the other out of their heads.

They end up getting scheduled to do a photoshoot together and the photographer has them recreate their famous dirty slide and that really gets their motors humming.

Josh and Chris balance each other out with their different personalities. Chris is so over the top flirty and Josh is more reserved.

I also loved that both Grant and Zach cameo in this story, bringing both author's stories together.

I fell in love with J.F. Harding in this book as Josh. I need more of this guy. He was the perfect serious and broody Josh to Tim Paige’s playful and flirty Chris.

What a sweet and sexy MM Novella!

Whew! What a hot, sweet, and sexy ride Dirty Slide was! This rivals to lovers MM baseball novella checked all my boxes for a deliciously good time! LB teamed up with new to me, debut author, KD Casey, and these ladies definitely worked their magic in their writing.
Even though this was a short novella, I felt I was given a non-rushed love story of Josh and Chris who are baseball players that play for rival teams against each other. They both feel an attraction to each other, a spark. Both are so different in their personalities, polar opposite’s. Josh is the reserved, broody, laser focused on his career and doesn’t want to be distracted (so he thinks) kind of man…. Chris on the other hand is the happy go lucky, super flirty, and outgoing one. I really enjoyed all the flirting and banter between these two when they were on base on the field together, thought that was super sexy. The chemistry between these 2 is undeniable. Miscommunications happen, and both are sure they are attracted to each other, but not sure how the other truly feels about the other. The buildup between these 2 throughout the book was exciting and so HOT!
Tim Paige and J.F. Harding narrate this beautifully. Tim’s performance of Chris was exceptional. He nailed the cocky, super playful, charming, big flirt, outgoing, yet vulnerable side of Chris so well. I really felt the emotional range of Chris’ character. Great job Tim! J.F.’s performance of Josh was spot on and sooo good! He played the reserved, broody, introspective, hot headed at times, laser career focused, yet somewhat scared and vulnerable to put himself out there guy perfectly. Amazing job!

This book was short and “sweet” but oh so dirty at the same time lol

I loved the baseball references and how the game was actually brought in and the flirting on the field!

This was narrated by Tim Paige who is one of my top faves and JF Harding who is also phenomenal

Such a short & sweet standalone!

Ahh I want more! I want their history and their futures! I read the Men of Summer series already so going a little out of order but I was pleasantly surprised to hear about Declan and Blackwood's mentions in this book too. I was actually thinking maybe Asher St James might even be in this too but that's too many of LB's characters making cameo appearances in this short short novella lol.

Josh & Chris's story is too short! It really skips over a lot of things that the Men of Summer series draws out, so maybe in the future we'll get an update on these two!

Story involves no angsty past, no cheating, no jealousy, just pure honest emotions and lots of hot sex for just 12 chapters, lol.

If Harding and Tim Paige great job both on the same page in this book held.true to their characters. This was a bit short for.me but great work and great story both Lauren and I'd great job.

Overall Okay

The story lacked substance. Spencer not all there, as if his personality was not his, as a character in his own skin. Thus, it seems the case of the narrator, Tim Paige 12/22/2022 (whom I really like) but it was as if he was not being his authentic self.

I wished it was longer . I loved it

I have played Men of summer at least 5 time's and now am in love with Baseball and the player's. This book was great and I would love to hear more of their story as well. Great story.

Short but good

Both these narrators were new to me. Happy discoveries, both. I’ll be looking for more from each of them.

I’m already a fan of Lauren Blakely. Didn’t know KD Casey before this. The collaboration works! I will definitely keep my eyes out for a solo effort by KD.

Flirty Fun

I absolutely loved Dirty Slide by Lauren Blakely and KD Casey!! I have already listened to the audio twice and received it just days before release.day. This novella is set in the baseball world of both Lauren and KD’s baseball romance series (MM). The title, Dirty Slide, implies more than one innuendo that is for sure. These two guys really do know how to throw the innuendos/barbs at each other while discovering that they might actually have found their forever partner. The story is short and sweet(NOT) with plenty of between-the-sheets action that is HOT(insert 5 flaming emojis here). Both Tim Paige and JF Harding do an amazing job of bringing Chris and Josh to live in my mind. These guys are new to me and I loved them both. If you are fans of Lauren and/or KD or both you will enjoy this one! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Such a great listen!

This was such a great novella! I love baseball romances, and this was another amazing story. Both narrators were new to me, and they were so good! Even though I would have loved to spend a lot more time with Chris and Josh, the novella never felt rushed or insta-lusty to me. I hope Lauren Blakely and KD Casey will write more (and longer) books together, I’m first in line to read them!
