Publisher's summary

Milo Yiannopoulos has experienced the moral decay of the Catholic Church firsthand. Now, he wants to fix it - starting with Pope Francis.

Who is the real Pope Francis? And can the Church survive him?

Milo Yiannopoulos traces the origins of the Church’s descent into sin and shame, pointing the finger at left-wing reformers, trendy progressive bishops, gay clergy, and ultimately, Francis himself. In Diabolical, Milo Yiannopoulos levels his critical eye and legendarily caustic wit at the Catholic Church, an institution he reveres but that, under the leadership of a “Lavender Mafia” of left-wing gay bishops, has become shambolic and depraved. Yes, there really is a gay mafia. And yes, their outfits are fabulous.

The Catholic Church hasn’t had a crisis like this since the Reformation. It won’t survive unless it learns how to talk to men again, sets aside transitory political nostrums like environmentalism and identity politics, and gets back to worshiping almighty God.

Delightfully Orthodox

I think this this is the most encouraging thing I've heard from Milo. We will pray that God gets you what you need!

A brilliant book that deals with hard truths.

Great narration of a well written book on difficult topic respectfully approached with brutal honesty

Entertaining and Educational

Entertaining and educational. Milo never disappoints, especially when he takes a more serious tone, but also provides enough witty jokes to lighten the mood and keep you entertained.

My old complaint is that if you listen while reading along with a hard copy, he has taken some creative freedom with the audio books to add, subtract, edit or reorder the text, which can make it hard to follow along, but also simultaneously makes you focus more on the content.

Read if you're concerned with western civilization

The Catholic Church is responsible for the flourishing of the individual and society in western civilization. If you don't believe me (and why should you), read/listen to the authors Milo references throughout the book and in the bibliography: Chesterton, CS Lewis, David Bentley Hart, Rodney Stark, Rod Dreher, Michael Walsh, et al. I truly believe Milo wrote this book because he loves the Church and hates to see her destruction apparently supervised by many in the current hierarchy. Pray for Milo's conversion.
If I might add one specific recommendation to artists of any kind is to read The Fiery Angel, by Michael Walsh.

A Must Read/Listen!

As a Catholic, I found this book extremely insightful and refreshing. Milo dissects and breaks down the issues that have plagued Catholic leaders for many years. He doesn’t sugar coat anything, he is raw and to the point. He gives you the ugliest part of the side of men to the greatest achievements Christianity is responsible for and why it’s worth preserving and fighting for. Excellent book

powerful and well written

Milo hits below the belt, in regards to the church and the institution of decadence and criminal protection that it's become. a very hard hitting look at the world, even if you don't fully agree with his sentiments, or even with religion as a whole. I definitely, highly recommend to read/listen.

Loved it

Great to see that I'm not the only same sex attracted guy who would love to see church slip back into what it use to be. I'll keep you in my prayers! God bless you.

Needed to be said

The things said in this book really needed to be said and heard by the leadership of the church. And, oh yeah, they have to care. As a devoted Catholic, yes I go every week, it is about time someone said these things and had the facts to back it all up.

Why are the chapters repeating? Shoddy work !!

Clearly nobody listened to this product before sending it out to be bought by the general public.
Shoddy work Audible.
The chapters appear to repeat themselves and it is very irritating and strange.
Don't buy this.

Not a bad alternative to the elusive Despicable...

There are worse reads out there. Less humour than Dangerous, understandable with the topic at hand. But he is funny, and compelling...

And how do you square off loving the church given the monstrous scandals?? One pondered...

Fans will like this. Enemy’s of the church will enjoy the 1st half. And the left...

f*çk the left.

Uncompromising and entertaining

As usual Milo targets hard topics and doesn’t compromise on his views or censor himself. Highlights so many issues and points of view that otherwise won’t be discussed. Regardless of if you are Christian or even if you like Milo this is worth a listen!

Missed chapter 2

In this audiobook, chapter 2 was missed and chapter 3 was repeated twice. Not sure if it was intentional or a mistake made by audible

Powerful

An unexpectedly powerful book of Christian apologetics. Milo's passionate conviction shines through and his arguments are compelling. It is also (so thankfully) light and irreverent - full of joy and mirth. so glad I read this book. it is life changing.

A surprise awaits

Not just about the failure to stop child abuse (in much of the first half) & the vast waste of parishioners' money, but then a detailed connection between the best of western civilisation and its origins.

interesting and informative read...

Big fan of Milo and I guess " dangerous" would have been a tough act to follow but nonetheless this book is a more sombre Milo with his still characteristic cutting and intelligent wit and analysis. Got some great references out of it to follow up on particularly with regard to the Catholic, conservative millennial movement happening in the US; a pleasant surprise to hear of; though I'm acquainted with a similar movement of conservative Catholic youth here on Australia. Great to hear it's happening elsewhere too. Great references also on the gay enclaves of Catholic clergy in the US and Rome. A big thank you to Milo once again.
