Owen Deathstalker - outlawed, with a price on his head and the blood of a mighty warrior lineage in his veins - had no choice but to embrace a dangerous destiny. With nothing to lose, only he had the courage to take up arms against Queen Lionstone XIV.
Now as he gathers his unlikely allies - the legendary washed-up hero Jack Random, the beautiful pirate Hazel d'Arc, the original Deathstalker long since presumed dead, and the alien Hadenmen whose purposes no human can discern - the eyes of the downtrodden are upon him while the freedom of a galaxy hangs in the balance....

I love the overall story progression as well as the character development in this 2nd book.
The voice actor is wonderful and I love the voices he assigns to each character (makes it totally easy to follow!).
I just finished listening to book #2 and I already purchased book 3 and I am totally going to start it as soon as I am done with this review!
I am done!

It could have also done without direct reference to a particular religion or religious order of priests from the real world (for those of us who have many positive memories from the admirable priests we encountered from that order - centuries after the inquisition), it seems that the author could have foregone the incriminating cliches and at least come up with fictitious names and religious references.) In that aspect of the plot, the author demonstrates his inability to temper religious criticism by nuanced degrees, betraying his unqualified acceptance of stigmatization brought on by fixated media coverage.
Green, nonetheless, has a strong talent for dialogue in many ways, but the narrative tends to repeat itself with self referencing (e.g., "she was an investigator, after all...", etc.) a bit excessively. But what the heck, I really enjoyed Book 2 and will go straight for the next episode. Jackson's characterizations, as always, make the listener utterly unaware that it's a narrated audiobook - 1-man show (along with production/technical staff). Bravo.
Great Second Installment
