Owen Deathstalker - outlawed, with a price on his head and the blood of a mighty warrior lineage in his veins - had no choice but to embrace a dangerous destiny. With nothing to lose, only he had the courage to take up arms against Queen Lionstone XIV.

Now as he gathers his unlikely allies - the legendary washed-up hero Jack Random, the beautiful pirate Hazel d'Arc, the original Deathstalker long since presumed dead, and the alien Hadenmen whose purposes no human can discern - the eyes of the downtrodden are upon him while the freedom of a galaxy hangs in the balance....

I fell in love with Mr Green’s dark side series and which happily led me to his other works and that is how I ended up with Deathstalker. I love this series! I love it when I find an author that I totally dig only to learn that said author has a metric-shit-ton of awesome work to consume!

I love the overall story progression as well as the character development in this 2nd book.
The voice actor is wonderful and I love the voices he assigns to each character (makes it totally easy to follow!).
I just finished listening to book #2 and I already purchased book 3 and I am totally going to start it as soon as I am done with this review!

I am done!
In to Desthstalker War!

Thank you!
May I please have some more?!

Love this author and this story!

Really like this story. Although there are some issues with silly character names, I think the story stands up pretty well. I'm looking forward to the next book. Well worth the credit!

Another great segment

This book was a fantastic read and a great continuation of the Deathstalker Series. I'm looking forward to reading Deathstalker: War, the next book in the series, immediately. Simon R. Green has been a favorite for a decade of my life. He continues to impress me with his imaginative ability. If for the obvious reasons, you decide to start another series by Simon R. Green, Something From The Nightside is a good place to start.

the side characters got more time than the main character and it was a better story for it the narrator changed voices for some characters to a great effect and showed that he has very good range.

Side characters done right

... and the first was quite good. The giant cast of characters get more attention in this installment which is what I found lacking in the first. Here we have the same level of love em, hate em and hmmm as before but the scenes that lead us along are much more interesting and multi layered. Definitely moving on in this series. Fabulous narration again 🤓

Much better than the first 🙌🏻
