Anna Acts so weak

Although Anna is such a great detective, she acts so weak and pathetic to that A-hole Langton. I’m not sure why he’s allowed to talk to her in such a unprofessional manner. She’s the best person on the murder squad. Linda La Plante should pull something big out of the next book in this series, because I’m beginning to think that she’s okay with men being dismissive towards women

I'm quitting this series

Four entries into the Anna Travis series, not much has changed (other than the length—over 20 hours is ridiculous).

She's still a dud. Not much personality or charisma to speak of. Her boss and love interest, James Langton, remains AWFUL.

Here's every Langton scene:
-The case is going nowhere; they have no real leads.
-Travis or a colleague does some clever work and discovers something. On its own it's minor, but it gets them one step closer.
-Langton goes on an abrasive, sarcastic rant and belittles their work.

He makes these books miserable to get through. La Plante must think we're rooting for this couple; she couldn't be more wrong.
