Great Start to the series!

Dark Awakening is a super spicy paranormal romance with a ton of potential for an epic story. It’s clear that this book is just the beginning of what will be an intense love story with some fantastic magical elements and multiple realms worth of adventure.

The audio for this book was outstanding! Andi Eloise and Sebastian York are like leather and lace as Rhyland and Danica. Sebastian brings that sexy, possessive, grumpy quality that he does so well and Andi is so fun as the sexy, sassy and adventurous Danica. Devon Ryder rounds out this cast and his witty sexy humor as Lucius is my weakness.

If you’re ready a super spicy vampire romance with a side of Indiana Jones and so much potential for magic and fantasy elements to come, definitely check out Dark Awakening.

Dark Awakening is the first book in The Crown of the Seven Realms series. Danica is a scientist that studies the genetics in supernatural creatures. She has been testing vampire and werewolf blood and DNA. She was out with her friend when she was suddenly drawn to a mysterious man. Rhyland is an ancient vampire. He is trying to find the chosen one to from the prophecy. Rhyland was at his friend’s club when he saw Dani. Dani and her friend were drugged at the club. Rhyland and his friends made sure they made it home safely. Rhyland knew the moment he touched Dani, that she was his fated mate. The night after Dani met Rhyland, she started experiencing strange light and magic coming from her hands. As time went on Dani could not stay away from Rhyland. She needed him near her. Rhyland and Dani cemented their bond and found out that Dani is also the chosen one in the prophecy to save the Seven Realms. This book is full of action. I can’t wait for more from this series.

Andi Eloise, Sebastian York, and Devon Ryder did a fantastic job narrating this book in duet style narration.

A great start to a wonderful series

I really love this book. I had the pleasure of following this author on her whole journey up into her last book.

Sucker for Vampire Romance

Hey everybody, welcome back to another audiobook review today. We were talking about dark awakening. This book is narrated by the wonderful voices of Sebastian York, Andi Eloise and Devon Ryder. This story follows Danica, who is a geneticist scientist and has been working with vampire blood. Yes, you heard me right vampire blood that’s because in this book vampires are known to everybody and welcomed into human society, but unknown to the humans vampires have their own secret society that is basically trying to make sure that the world doesn’t end. And at the head of that society is Rhyland. Rhyland and Danica meet at a club owned by Rhyland brother Lucian. Where he sees her from something horrible about to happen. And at that point, the connection between them is instant because unknown to them they’re faded mates, which is again extremely rare like in most romantasy books. Rhyland and his brother Eric have been searching for their fated mates for a long time. And that Rhyland has found his he’s going to ensure that everyone knows that she is his. Andi, Devon and Sebastian did all such phenomenal jobs in this audiobook. All of them have been some of my favorite audiobook narrators to listen to, but their combinations of voices in this for some reason was just more amazing than I’ve heard them in other books.

Dark Awakening is book #1 in The Crown of the Seven Realms fantasy series. *Cliffhanger warning* I went in blind to this one, but no regrets even with the cliffy. This is my first listen for the author and I am so excited for this series. Danica/Dani is a mortal, a scientist, full of abandonment issues, and suspicious with weird things start happening when she meets Rhyland. Rhyland is an immortal, a former Viking warrior turned vampire, and on a mission with his brothers (Lucien, Eric, and Adrian) to find the salvation against dark forces. He had long ago closed off his heart, but something about Dani has him sparking! The author kept this story moving with a great story line, plot twists, and thrilling adventure from start to finish. Intrigue, suspense, treachery, found family, and incredibly steamy chemistry between Dani and Rhyland made this one a winner for me. Can not wait for the next book!

The full cast duet narration is phenomenal. Sebastian York, Devon Ryder, and Andi Eloise bring this fantastic story to life. The voices for the characters AND the creatures/monsters/apparitions are so spot on and original. And the passion...delicious. 5/5 stars for this trio! 🌟
