What We Deserve is such an apt title for this book, and if you listen to this book, you’ll find out why. It’s so fitting, and when I connected the dots, it made me shed some happy tears. Eli and Emily truly deserve each other and all of the love in the world. 😭

An unexpected, beautifully written, character driven romance story, with an emphasis on intimate relationships and family bonds. It’s two broken souls beaten down by abuse from past exes, finding harmony in each other. Learning to love again, and not just each other, but themselves too. Helping each other heal and becoming one another’s safe harbor.

Eli’s tenderness and how he really sees Emily for who she is, and finds her utterly gorgeous and is mesmerized by everything she says and does. He’s incredibly sweet and so considerate of her. I mean, the man took her on a first date to a board games store just cause it’s something she likes to do as a hobby and then proceeded to buying all of the things she’s wanted but hasn’t been able to afford. 🥹

This book was overflowing with genuine attraction, chemistry and real organic relationship building. I really enjoyed the slow burn, and it was perfect for them. Their story felt so real, with what felt like real relationship progression. I’m floored and utterly obsessed with this couple! 😍

Aaron Shedlock and Ella Lynch were incredible together in the audio. They performed in duet and I felt like they were the prefect match for the characters. Aaron and Ella reeled me and had me hooked on this audio, and I truly loved every minute of listening to this! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! 💜💜

VERY excited for the other books in this series! Need Leo and Sadie’s story and Dean’s story (he’s a mute cutie, and has me the most excited) 😍

Loved it!!!.

It took me a couple chapters to really get into this one, but once I did, I was hooked. This is a new author for me, and for a debut, it was so well done. Eli completely stole my heart. I loved his depth and the way his character unfolded. Definitely excited to read more from this author.

I loved What We Deserve by Lizzie Stanley** on audio. The story is emotional, heartfelt, and full of tension that really pulls you in.
The duet narration by Ella Lynch and Aaron Shedlock elevated everything. Their performances made the chemistry and emotion feel completely real.
Definitely recommend listening to this one. 🎧💜

What We Deserve

What We Deserve was an overall adorable story. The character development was well done and was not just with the main characters, Emily and Eli. This is a story of healing, love, finding family and growing beyond your past.
Eli has this tough exterior but is beyond protective, respectful and sweet. Emily is a nerd girl who loves D&D, and is learning to heal after an abusive relationship. She vulnerable yet starts to learn to stand up for herself, especially with Eli by her side.
Audio: Ella Lynch is a new to me narrator and she was perfect for Emily. She brought out Emily's sweet, innocent side while also showing her excitement for gaming and her new found family. You could hear when she was scared, unsure and strong.
I love Aaron Shedlock and he did not disappoint with Eli and the other Wishbone guys. He gave Eli his strong, reliable, protective nature but you could easily hear his love and care for Emily and his family. Both Ella and Aaron did a wonderful job with the emotions and healing throughout this story.
If you're looking for a cute story with healing,, a protective found family, love, and some spice, then this story is for you. I cant wait to hear what happens with Leo, Dean and Sadie!

Fabulous narration. Aaron does a fantastic New Orleans accent. Ella has such a sweet voice. Very enjoyable to listen to.

Book #1 Wishbone tattoos series

This was an emotional , wholesome, sweet, spicy listen. The writing was great. I have a hard time believing this was the authors debut novel. It reads so well. The plot is well written and paced. Characters are absolutely likeable.

Emily is new in town and applies for a reception job at Wishbone Tattoo parlor. She is trying to find herself and rebuild her life after getting away from a toxic relationship.

Eli is one of the tattoo artists at the shop and he doesn’t let himself get attached. He’s got past relationship trauma.

These two are adorable together. Once they give in to the attraction the relationship becomes so strong and beautiful. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more in this series.
