Captivating

I really enjoyed Langdon and Eric’s story. The angst was palpable, the romance intense, and the steam was swoon-worthy.

Both characters were overcoming major obstacles - Langdon’s being his past, and Eric’s life falling apart right in front of his eyes. Takely did a great job navigating their struggles and insecurities in a real and authentic way that made you feel like you were right there with them.

The audio for this book was fantastic. Ben Hart and William Macleod were the perfect duo to portray Langdon and Eric. Bravo!

An ok MM romance

Duet narration - Ben Hart & William Macleod

This was an ok MM romance. There is ALOT happening here and I found myself drifting focus at points having to rewind to figure out what was happening exactly. It is told in 3rd person POV.

I liked the characters but again I struggled to stay focused and to feel invested in their story.

Overall, it’s a very detailed story and I am sure most will enjoy it but I felt it was just ok.

Mystery subplot plus steamy romance

I loved getting to see these two evolve as they were hinted in book 1. I do love that each book seems to effectively set up the next one with some overlap. There was a mild mystery element. I called it pretty quick but couldn't put the book down until I knew for sure. I really loved that added layer. Super enjoyable! The way these narrators brought this story to life was amazing. I loved them both for this. Genuinely one of the best books to listen to.

Eric + Langdon

Book Two in the Soho Knights series was as good as the first one.

Eric gets left at the altar and his life explodes and he is forced to find a new job. At his brother's bar, he meets Langdon: a man with secrets of his own.

This story really moved along and there was never a break in the action. The characters were so interesting, and I was invested in the story.

I listened on audio. I'd never listened to Ben Hart or William Macleod before and they are both wonderful performers.

MM Workplace Romance Vibes with Some Suspense

Dangerous Attraction is the second book in the Soho Knights series. While it would be beneficial to read the first book before Dangerous Attraction, I didn't feel like it was completely necessary. Langdon and Eric were two characters that felt real to me. They both had issues in their pasts and they had to find a way through it. The relationship build up felt realistic and both Langdon and Eric made me want to yell at them at certain points by not just talking to each other and not explaining things to each other. Dangerous Attraction had more of a suspenseful vibe to it which was fun, although a touch predictable. I still really enjoyed this book. Both MMCs had good growth and the story felt well developed. Solid 4 stars

The narration was great. Both narrators were new to me but they brought Langdon and Eric to life. 5 stars for the narration.
