Cora + Lark = Perfection

This is the perfect author duo! Loved everything about this audio, and Harley Chase nailed it as always. The emotion he brings to his performances really elevates him to one of the best narrators in the genre. Highly recommend this one!

What an amazing story! Another winner by Cora Rose and terrific partnership with Lark Taylor. I really felt all the feels for Wyatt and Matthias from early childhood innocent love between besties to frenemies to lovers and then back again! I seriously laughed and I cried! And Harley Chase is my new favorite narrator (total chef’s kiss) ❤️

loved this book and love it even more on audio!! Soo good! offers something different as far as secret societies go. Absolutely love Wy's devotion to his brother, and Matt despite he's declarations to hate him. And Matt, oh sweet Matt. you can't help but love him! can't wait for the rest of the series!

Matt is the rich boy. Wy is the poor boy. They meet in the woods when they’re 11 years old and become fast friends. Matt slowly falls in love with his best friend, who is completely oblivious. When they’re 18, they loose touch and don’t find each other again until they’re adults. By then years of resentment have decimated the friendship they once had, but Wyatt has a debt to be paid to a secret society. And Matt is in need of a husband. 😈

Swoon!! These two!!! Ah, man. I love the childhood friends to lovers trope. When it’s done well (like this) it gets me in my feels every time. Cora and Lark hit the perfect balance of old love and new love, which made this story so sweet.

Then, when we find out HOW MUCH Matthias has been intervening for Wyatt. 🥹 This man loved with his whole being.

I listened to the audiobook and I’m so happy that I did! Harley Chase’s performance was fantastic. He narrated the entire book by himself and did an excellent job bringing the individual characters to life.

TLDR: Childhood-friends-to-enemies-to-lovers with a bi-awakening and secret society. Super sweet and plenty of spice.

Great start to a new series

This had me hooked from the beginning, I did not want to stop listening. Everything flowed and the characters were well developed along with some side characters. Writing was beautiful and gave just the right amount of detail. I was hoping for a little more of a look into all the firm does but it looks like with the next book we’ll see more. Last chapter is a look into the next in the series. Overall a great start to a new series! And Narration was 10/10!

I loved this book and was hooked from the beginning. I like that the narrator did not do different voices for each character. It made it easy to listen.

There's a great plot perfect amount of spice the most importantly I laughed and cried and what Harley did with a banana tree part made me crack up

Excited To See Where This Series Goes

I love both these writers and this is an intriguing series set up. I’d give the world they’re creating five stars, as the idea of “The Firm” is really unique, and going to allow for a lot of interesting dynamics moving forward. Overall, I really enjoyed this story.

My only issue is that for most of the book the readers know that Wyatt hates Matthias because he betrayed him when they were younger. We also know through flashbacks from Matthias’ POV that he had his reasons. The miscommunication/misunderstanding plays out way too long, and caused me to loose a lot of empathy for Wyatt. Matt offered several times to tell him the truth and Wyatt refused.

He finally finds out the truth in the third act, and shortly after another huge plot twist is revealed. I wish Wyatt and Matthias would have had their heart to heart earlier in the story. It may have shortened their time spent as enemies, but allowing them to have more time in marital bliss before the big plot twist would have really helped the pacing, and the third act breakup would have a bigger impact.

Still, I recommend this book and am excited to see where the series goes, and Harley Chase gives a wonderful performance.

Best Book

This is the best MM book I’ve read this year. Loved the MCs and story. The sex is super spicy. Must read. Narrator is great.

Absolutely nailed it! When is book two dropping, because I’m officially obsessed. You hit every trope I love:

I will say Wyatt tested my patience a bit with the tantrums (seriously, sir, breathe) but aside from that 👨‍🍳 💋I need the next one. Like, yesterday.
