Inspiring

This book is full of self reflection, appreciation for people and life changing events, and the continual road toward self awareness. The story was powerful and moving, hilarious and heartbreaking at times. It will definitely inspire people to overcome their toughest obstacles. I loved the addition of the podcast to the audio book format. This is a great read, and I highly recommend it.

Entertaining, Insightful and Lessons for all

This book was not only thoroughly entertaining (some great celebrity stories) but offers great life lessons for people of all ages. So many people could be helped by reading this book and learning to make better choices and how we can always change the path we are heading down. Combine this with some interesting, funny and sad stories and you have a great book that will hold your attention.

I highly recommend this book to anyone, both young and old, as well as those who are successful or who are struggling and could use some motivation and guidance.

Relatable and Inspirational

From the very beginning, I could relate to John's experiences. With so many similarities, I sat and listened intently for the next experience, as well as the one after that, until the end. John's willingness to open himself up and share his experiences and how he overcame them is done in such a way that anyone, if they're willing to listen and try to relate, rather than believe that their situation is completely different, can find the strength and motivation to overcome their challenges as well. Other than being 5 feet tall and wishing you were 7 feet, John reminds us that we are capable of achieving anything we set your minds to,

For those who have overcome their deepest and darkest challenges to those in the midst of battling their own and looking for motivation and inspiration, this book will not disappoint.

Entertaining ride from start to finish

I loved this book! John's passionate attitude and humility really shines through on this one and I do appreciate his honest look at himself. I've actually had the pleasure of getting to know John personally as a client and friend and this book really shines. The stories in this book are not only humorous but also informative. The podcast portions of the book go deeper into the stories and his triumphs over adversity are remarkable.

The Resilience of a Changed Man

John’s story is truly remarkable and inspiring. His story shows a man of high values, exceptional standards and extraordinary character. After listening to his story, there were plenty of close calls and times where he could have cowered, but not one time did he. To persevere and build the man he has become, he has embodied the true meaning of resilience when faced with adversity and a clear example for humanity to showing that life is not perfect, but if you keep going, there are lessons we learn in life throughout every moment along the journey.

Honest and Inspiring

John is a battle-hardened Soldier of the enduring wars of life that we can all relate to in some way.  If you are looking for an example of how hard times, learning to be humble and relentless hard work can result in a life that is whole, John has done it with this book. This is about a man who deeply loves his family, friends, his faith and how pain became (and clearly is) the fuel to helping himself and others be their best. We can all learn something from John's experiences. Thanks for the laughs and maybe a few watery-eye moments when it came to describing your family. Growing up with a Sicilian mother in the same timeframe, it was the greasy cutlet and meatball sandwiches breaking the bottom of the brown bag and stinking out my locker for me!  Thanks John!

Amazing Book

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. From the entertaining stories about John’s life and celebrity clients, to the life lessons we can learn and grow from, and most importantly that anyone can accomplish anything no matter what life throws at you are all things anyone can enjoy with this book. Highly recommend!

The man I didn’t know

What an outstanding book!!!Hollywood and training are really only a fraction of this Autobiography from an extraordinary individual.

John has a way of weaving a story that pulls you in. There were many times where I felt like I was moments away from jail, or death. I found it hard to step away and focus on my real life. Not at all what I was expecting, but in the best way possible.

I am lucky enough to know John (met prior to reading this book) and I was blown away by a vast majority of his adventures and trials. He is one of the kindest and most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I would unequivocally recommend listening to this book.

I also love the audible style of read some chapters, then unpack in a mini podcast. Brilliant!
