Publisher's summary

Something's wild out west....

When a badly burned body is found near the remote Ardnamurchan Lighthouse on the west coast of Scotland, it feels like just another day on the job for DCI Jack Logan and his team.

But the victim’s list of enemies, including a diminutive loan shark and a powerful local politician, is far longer than Jack was prepared for.

And don’t even get him started on the magic psychic sex cult.

With political scandal brewing, conspiracy theories running wild, and a team member stuck inside a giant road safety squirrel costume, DCI Logan’s latest case might just be his most bizarre to date.

Come Hell or High Water is the 13th book in the multi-million selling DCI Logan Scottish Crime Fiction series. Packed with action, pathos, and dark humor, the series is perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and Stuart MacBride."

Excellent as ever

Another great edition in the DCI Logan series. JD Kirk has an uncanny way of delivering a solid plot that keeps you guessing (and laughing) until the very end. Angus King’s delicious Scottish lilt and crisp performance brings the characters to life. My life will feel empty until the next book in the series is published.

Great book

The narrator is superbly talented. I think I enjoyed his narrative as much as I did the plot.

Enjoy

Extremely entertaining! 😄😄. Hard to keep a straight face in some parts. A pleasant breakaway from usual crime tales.

Excellent narration as always!!

Angus King is AMAZING with his ability to narrate so many different characters and dialects, and the stories are so fun to wade through. I highly recommend.

Suspenseful

A lot of suspenseful action and, as other reviewers have commented, the occasional and welcome bit of humor. A wonderful series and unbeatable author read by a Scotsman who cannot be matched.

Excellent

I absolutely loved this book; I feel this was JD’s best in the series. I have never laughed out loud so much from listening. Tyler is just such a wonderful character and a good laugh most of the time, all the characters are great and now family. Wonder where you buy nettle cream from.... I can't fault Angus King he's just such a talented narrator.
