I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I have been diagnosed as bipolar and I also have severe anxiety. I listen to this audiobook last night and have started trying to put the steps into action today. I appreciate that this audiobook is very simple to understand and not full of big words that do not need to be used to understand the struggles associated with mental illnesses and/or anxiety disorders.

This was a helpful and informative audiobook. I suffered from panic attacks when I was in college and I wish it would have been around back then. The audiobook contains a lot of information about intrusive thoughts, which myself and millions of other people deal with on a daily basis. The author makes it very clear that we shouldn't avoid situations that tend to trigger our intrusive thoughts because doing so will only serve to create even more anxiety surrounding the situation and make it worse.

I would recommend listening to the audiobook
This audiobook is short enough and straight forward, so I would recommend listening to the audiobook first and then re-listening it and practice the exercises that it describes. One exercise I tried was I attempted to challenge my own core beliefs. I have chronic pain and I have often asked myself why am I suffering from this pain, but I was too afraid to discover the answer.

I have tried to get help multiple times in the past and have been unsuccessful in those attempts. These audiobooks are amazing if you are like me and do necessarily appeal to the idea of sitting and spilling your life story to someone across a desk.
