I myself am guilty of constant negative thinking which doesnt help with anxiety and leads to depression. This audiobook is a great way to start changing that. Very easy to listen and follow. Even gives a layout at the end to start documenting your thoughts and actions needed to change your way of thinking to have a more positive life.

This book gives you detailed instructions on how to overcome anxiety and depression. With it broken down into seven steps, it makes it easier to follow. He covers the gamut of CBT and, most importantly, adds new material from research that has been conducted since the originators of this very effective therapy ( mindfulness for example). Written in a down to earth style so very layman friendly. If you use CBT or want to get a fine introduction, and then some.... listen Adam.

This book is short enough and straight forward, so I would recommend listening to the book first and then relistening it and practice the exercises that it describes.

This is a self-help audiobook that explains how to use CBT to overcome anxiety, depression and various phobias. It tells how CBT was discovered by Psychologists Ellis and Beck and how it works. With CBT therapists were able to interact with their patients for the first time during treatment. Prior to CBT this didn’t happen. It then walks you through the few steps your need to take to overcome. Many times our thoughts and emotions to life leave us in emotional turmoil and lead us into depression.

My first thoughts on this book it’s not your average self-help book. I didn’t think that I would like it in the beginning because of the fact that it has a lot of” technical” wording that not everyone will understand. The technical part tells you about the therapy, what it is, and how it works.
