Very Enriching

This book is extremely well done. As an individual trained in CBT, I can say that it is very accurate to the school and methodology. It explains things very well, in a way that is understandable to people who don't know a lot about the field, in fact I have quoted from it in therapy sessions to help explain concepts to clients.

It's very easy to read and understand

It's very easy to read and understand. I really enjoy how they took into consideration that everyone learns differently and use multiple techniques to explain with introductions in each chapter, definitions, pictures, scenarios, examples, followed by worksheets and quick summaries. Very helpful and never boring. I would definitely recommend!

Great Book

As a graduate student in clinical psychology, I greatly appreciated the lovely way Seth illustrated these concepts. It was an easy read that kept you engaged - a tricky combo to master. I would highly recommend it as a refresher book for early career clinicians who are using CBT and as a potential resource to recommend to clients.

So Nice

This book is well-written, easy to use and easy to understand. It takes you step-by-step through the process of changing your behavior by realizing what is causing the behavior. I have overcome a problem I have been dealing with for more than 15 years by using the principles in this book.

Interesting

Now I give myself more permission to turn negative experiences in my life into a positive power that helps me grow and see the good in all that happens to me. Seriously. But you need to want to be positive. Life is hard and I can see how some of us may not want to get over a passive negative pessimistic state.

Great Book

Very understandable and I started treating myself right away after the first few chapters. It is an excellent layman treatise on the subject. Finally, I know what CBT is and I can use it on my patients and on myself.

a step by step instructional guide, absolutely what I was looking for. I do not need to know 3 hours of history like certain other books

Fairly Good

The book also answered many of the follow-up questions that my patients have when I’m introducing CBT. I’ll definitely be using this in my clinical work and recommending it to my patients.

Very uselful

I found this book had a lot of useful information and steps to follow that will help me look forward to a brighter future. It is very well constructed, not too in depth and not too consise. I was especially impressed by the last chapter as some of the information in the book can seem a little overwhelming and a hard ladder to climb when you are feeling in a difficult place. I felt the conclusion approached this well and I felt a lot more positive at the end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who may feel they need it.

CBT

I have actually done the course years ago and it was great then but sometimes a struggle to get out of the house and actually go, although clearly it was good for me. This time I’m doing it again but I listen to the book at night and am waking up with new objectives and a renewed knowledge of how to set things in motion again to set my life back on track with my emotions, feelings, and behaviour. It’s only been a week and I’m really happy with this book and where I’m going.
