Note quite what I was expecting

I was wanting to listen to a quick, easy version of the story, with which to familiarise myself before going to see a comedy play based on the characters. This did the job, although I was not expecting a dramatised version (I should have read the synopsis I suppose). Furthermore I was not expecting such an old recording! It is a bit distorted at times, sounding like a wobbly record player, but it has the charm of an English black and white film from the 1930's or 40's.

If you like old films and don't mind a quaint simplistic dialogue, then you will probably enjoy this. I found myself smiling almost all of the way through.
