Publisher's Summary

He's her patient. She's his doctor. They shouldn't. But God, do they want to.

Camden Harris, the famously hot, hulk of a footballer is laid up in a London hospital. But his busted knee doesn't stop him from running his well-practiced game on Indie Porter - his redheaded spitfire of a doctor. She's not his type, not even close. But she could be the perfect distraction from the soul-crushing damage this injury could cost him.

Indie's tired of her naivety putting a target on her back. As a gifted child, she's let her education take the front seat her whole life. But a fling with a footballer like Camden might be just what she needs to grab life by the balls.

And he could be the perfect guy for the plan she's been sitting on for over two years.

But when feelings make a final play, there's no amount of medicine that can heal the damage to their hearts.

loved the narration, hated the story

I'll be honest, the main reason I bought this was because of Will M. Watt. He's an amazingly talented narrator with a soothing deep voice. He did an amazing job narrating along with Charlotte Cole.

The characters in the book were not very mature. The miscommunication, the flip flopping of emotions made my teeth clench in irritation. The characters are supposed to be in their mid 20's, but it seemed they were more teenagers than adults. I can understand an athlete behaving like this. Not a doctor.

I don't think I'll pick up another Amy Daws book.

What a great story, I was sucked in from the beginning to the end.

How the characters meet and get together to the struggles they face. I was enthralled, and let’s talk about the narrators.
Because with books like these, you need to have it sound like the book. What better way than to have narrators who speak the language so to speak.

This is a spin off from the London Lovers Series which I loved.

Cam and Indie are cute together now other way around it. She struggles with her feeling for Cam because she doesn't want to lose her job.
And Cam struggles to have and want someone for more than just a night or two.

I just loved the back and forth and the miss communication I wanted to yell just talk to each other but what fun would that be. ;)

Love it and the narrators like I said can’t wait to see if Amy gives us more of these brothers.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

British, sporty romcom perfection

Where does Challenge rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

At the very top. Tied first place with That One Moment.

What did you like best about this story?

The story is fun, it's heart-warming, it's smart, it's cute and definitely romantic and sexy.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

With the dual narration style, the characters come to life so much more than I ever could have had them in my head. The narrators really embody the characters, even switching between then, but it sounds effortless, seemingless, greatness.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I love pretty much the entire book. But What really stood out to me was Indie realising she cannot let go of Cam, she needs to take a stand and WANTS to take a stand. Their connection is pure magic.

Any additional comments?

Everyone should read this, or better yet, listen to it.

I enjoyed this book. At first I wasn't sure if it was going to be for me but very quickly I knew I would enjoy it. I enjoyed that it was different, not the same story you've read a million times before. Cam is a footballer who in the beginning comes across arrogant but he stole my heart right away. Indie is a brilliant 23 year old doctor who is innocent. When these two meet it's complete fireworks!! I loved how they were with each other. Their relationship is HOT and fast with some drama of course. I will say the " I'm not good enough for you" thing bothers in in book and life so I wanted to yell at them a few times for getting in their own way. But I liked that they talk through the issues each of them have and help each other move forward. I also really liked his family and hope they'll be more books for them. Oh and did I mention the sex was pretty HOT too!

The narration ended up being great when I really thought I wan't going to enjoy Will M. Watt's voice, not that he isn't a good narrator because he really is, I just wasn't sure I like his voice for Cam but I forgot about that after the first sex scene LOL, In the end he gets 5 stars! Charlotte Cole was fabulous too! I loved that it was a duet style narration!

Inflection. Sure, you hear it in your head, but to feel the pain and pleasure. The natural style these two narrators give to the characters si unmistakable.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The Pun written in the book. the Tower scene.

Any additional comments?

This book is completely and utterly amazing.

Everyone loves a Challenge

Would you consider the audio edition of Challenge to be better than the print version?

I never read the print version but I really enjoyed the audio. The narrators were great.

Would you recommend Challenge to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend Challenge to any of my friends that haven't listened to a duet narrated book .

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when Camden professed his love for Indie.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

When a professional athlete meets a very talented doctor, falling in love can become a wonderful Challenge.

Any additional comments?

I have never read a duet narrated book and although it took a little getting used to, I really enjoyed it, The narrators were great. The voice for Cam showed a lot of emotion that as a listener I could really feel. Overall, 4 stars. I would definitely listen to another book by Amy Daws.

Cute story

I thought the narrators were very good and I loved how they alternated on dialog like a movie. The story was very good and flowed right along. Cam and Indy were such likeable characters. You will definitely want to listen to this as it made me laugh out loud a few times and swoon at some too. This was the first time for me with this author and I will definitely listen to more of her books.

What did you like best about this story?

Camden Harris is a famous footballer, Indie Porter is an up and coming doctor. Unlikely to ever be on each other's radar, they meet when Cam is injured. After meeting, their destiny can't be anything other than together. Camden and Indie are so likable, you can't help but want them to be together. Their individual stories are compelling, and they are fun and sweet together. The book has the perfect mix of sweet, sexy and funny.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked when Cam took Indie to see this football stadium--it was fun seeing them outside the hospital together and provided key insight into their back stories. I also really enjoyed the scenes with the Harris brothers together.

Any additional comments?

Will M. Watt & Charlotte Cole were perfect! I can't imagine a better choice in narrators to tell this story. In the past, I have not been a huge fan of Duet narration but this book was good enough that I will give them another chance. I can't wait to hear the rest of the Harris brothers stories!

A whole lot of push and pull

3 - 3.5 stars. I enjoyed a lot of this book, including the characters and the primary storyline but there was too much push and pull for me. The story started to lose its hold on me when Indie completely shut out Cam. All's well that ends well, I suppose, but it didn't work as well for me as I hoped. Since I really liked the characters and the secondary characters, I'm looking forward to giving book 2 of this series a try.

Audible: The narrators were fantastic. They had great pace, tone, energy, and really fit the characters they were reading. I would absolutely recommend this audible. It's definitely one of the best audible I have listened to in quite a while.

I'm in love with the Harris brothers

I love Amy Daws' audibles and this is up there with the best of them. I loved her London Lovers series and although it's not part of the series we have a crossover of characters. We follow resident doctor Indie Porter as she attempts to do groundbreaking surgery on soccer player Camden Harris (he's a player on and off the pitch), following a bad tackle during a match. Indie has so many issues, issues that I didn't understand until later in the story, which meant I found her cold hearted and callous with Camden at times, and especially in her pursuit to lose her V card. Even though Camden was a player, I was very much sympathetic to him and his issues and I really loved his openness. He was the perfect book boyfriend. The chemistry between them both was swoon worthy. Indie's work ethics went out the window when she came across Camden's smoulder, and the doctor patient line was well and truly crossed. Once she finally came clean about her life and her feelings I found I actually really liked her. I am so looking forward to the rest of the brothers' stories, I just love these boys. The story was narrated in Duet, which really worked for me in thus instance. I loved the narrators (I've finally got used to the British accent in an audio, and although some annoy me, these worked for me). Twinnies story next I'm hoping

This story definitely 'scores a hat trick'

Any additional comments?

I was gifted a copy of this audiobook in exchange for a fair and honest review. This is the first book by Amy Daws that I have read but it definitely scored a 'hat trick' with me, I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline, characters and the narration. I wasn't sure I would be able to get into this book as I'm not overly keen on 'sports' storylines but there was just enough in this story to give you a feel for the sport without becoming too technical. Indie and Cam are great characters with lots of attitude and chemistry, as are some of the lesser characters. I really enjoyed the dual narration of this book, both of the narrators bring their characters to life and I loved the different accents used for other characters too. It definitely adds more depth to the scenes and storyline. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to meeting the rest of the 'Harris' brothers.

looking forward to the rest of the series

i really enjoyed this book and have to admit that seen as how its an american writing the book, she didnt do half bad at getting our terminology right and the correct way we use 'bad' lauguage both in humour and in general and was able to use British humour correctly. in fact the only fault i could find was the use of 'sidewalk' instead of 'pavement'. its certainly the best/closest representation of us Brits from our authour friends from across the pond that ive listened to. well done Ms Daws. im looking forward to listening to the others in the series and will definitely be serching out her other audio books.

The narration is sublime!

it's not that story is bad really, but when the relationship between a father and his son(s) is more interesting that the romance part it just becomes a bit boring. I'm still gonna listen to the rest of the books because I like the setting and characters, and because the narration is utter perfection

Duet narration done great

4 5*

This really was very surprising. The audiobook was on point and I loved the duel narration. The banter was funny and the steam was plenty steamy. The only thing that annoyed me was Indie and her tendency to run and never talk to anyone and just assume everyone will dump her.. it made the conflict seem a little forced.

Challenge Accepted

I have a little obsession with all things Harris Brothers. I've read Challenge twice and thought it would be great to challenge myself and listen to the audio too. And boy am I glad that I did. The audio book of this novel is just as good as reading Amy Daws brilliant words.

Here we have two talented narrators giving life to Camden and Indie, the best possible voices for these two and ones who really draw you into the story. I may now have a secret crush on a certain male narrator.

Amy Daws is a fantastic author, so talented and real. She brings you characters that are flawed, challenging, a handful (in the best way) and down right beautiful. I am a huge fan and fangirling like crazy over these Harris Brothers and the world they create.

Amazing!!

I’m wondering about the narration

In general I enjoyed this story. The main point point for giving a slightly lower score for narration is that the female/male conversational parts of the book felt disjointed. As if the parts were recorded separately and then patched together later in some kind of post production melding. It bothered me constantly throughout the book and hence lowering my overall satisfaction.

No Challenge to enjoy this book in audio

I fell in love with Camden and Indie when I first read Amy Daws’ Challenge a few months back. But to hear them in audio made me love them just that bit more.

Will Watt and Charlotte Cole give flawless performances and make listening to the story enjoyable and fun and emotional. And Martin Foster hits the mark with his portrayal of Dr Pritchard who gave me the heebie-jeebies in the book, but in audio had me truly creeped out - which means Martin succeeded in his role.

This is a fabulous story, a phenomenal audio book and EVERYONE should get on board and take the CHALLENGE 😉😂😂
