This is an extensive collection of short essays and other pieces by C. S. Lewis that have been brought together in one volume for the first time. As well as his many books, letters, and poems, Lewis also wrote a great number of essays and shorter pieces on various subjects. He wrote extensively on Christian theology and the defense of faith but also on various ethical issues and on the nature of literature and storytelling. In this essay collection we find a treasure trove of Lewis' reflections on diverse topics.

This is one of my favorite C.S. Lewis collections. Well worth the price of a credit.

Love this book

That is what comes to my mind listening (or reading)
C.S. Lewis. His writtings are like an internal conversation trying to make sense of arguments he creates or are important to him. Obviously topics of God, religion, theology, morality, etc are central to a big part of his writtings. I am a fan because he is constantly making this argument and looking for the truth, and that is the only way to learn and grow.

The audio book itself is very good. The narration is adecuate. The gentlemen reading has a scholarly tone that at times help, but sometimes (few times) is monotonous, however in general his reading is effective and of good quality of tone and volume. This same person also reads other works of the same author.

In conclussion, I enjoyed this audio book.

I have tried a few times to read this collection. I like CS Lewis's, other work, The Chronicles of Narnia, and for the most part I lack his thinking. He's very interesting. I would recommend this book for anyone.

Wow, what a disappointment that there are no chapter titles in this extremely long audio book!!! Where can I see the table of contents?

C.S. has a simple way of speaking deep thoughts. It is compelling and thought provoking. Personally, I only shutter at the thought that I may never gain enough time In The daily crunch that is modern America where I will find time to read all the great literature that has obviously molded Lewis’s vision of the world.

Deep thought

Worth it for the essays alone and the short stories were a great bonus. Makes you wish he had finished The Dark Tower.

Great reading and very comprehensive.

This Audio book contains the fullness of both Christian Reflections and God in the Dock. I love it. I would however like to point out that there are no chapter headings. This I would say is the most disappointing part about the audio. An audio book this long should have tittle headings so one can go back and forth between essays. I hope Audible can soon update that. In the meantime what I did was create a note using the clips and bookmark tab in the app and pasted the following. I hope it helps those with the same concern.
