Resumen del Editor

Master storyteller and essayist C. S. Lewis here tackles the central questions of the Christian faith: Who was Jesus? What did he accomplish? What does it mean for me?

In these classic essays, which began as talks on the BBC during World War II, Lewis creatively and simply explains the basic tenets of Christianity. Taken from the core section of Mere Christianity, this book provides an accessible way for people to discover these timeless truths. For those looking to remind themselves of what they hold true, or those looking for a snapshot of Christianity, this book is a wonderful introduction to the faith.

Incredible.

Lewis gets straight to the heart of what being Christian actually is. He hits the hard stuff swiftly and doesn't waste time. He uses solid logic around the issues he had as a believer and when he didn't believe. It's a fast listen and absolutely wonderful.

Material from “Mere Christianity”

Good selection from a good book with a good narrator, and it’s free. If you don’t feel like a full listen of “Mere Christianity” then this is a good concise version.

Very great subject matter

Great subject, great book. Good and clear narration if a little robotic. Will listen again.

Logical argument.

A very logical in style.

The cadence of the narration was a bit rushed but overall I enjoyed it.

Extroidinary

This book is a very good read, and really makes you look at the simplistic idea of what Christians believe. Makes you evaluate your position as a Christian.

Thought-Provoking

Ever since I first read the Chronicles of Narnia series, I have thought that Mr. Lewis would have been one of my favorite professors. For quite a while I thought that was because he could have been easily distracted from the subjects I didn't really care about and tricked into talking about my more favorite subjects. I now see that he actually was the type that would have seen your attempts a mile or more away and would have carefully maneuvered you so you would think you were still in control yet he was actually leading the conversation exactly where he intended it to go. In other words, he would be your favorite because you were learning so much from him. He was such a bright yet humble man with a singular wit all which he used to teach in ways that surprise and amaze all who meet him, personally or through his literature. This brief book is a great example of him.
