Some people consider the bond market as the next best thing to the stock market. With lower risk and high returns, the bond market can be attractive. Yet, the bond market seems to receive less media hype, because it's not as sexy as the stock market. Stocks have high risk and a bigger growth factor. Bonds can provide reliable, consistent returns, which are attractive to those of elder age, as they serve as a secondary source of income when reaching retirement.

The greatest investment advisor of the 20th century, Benjamin Graham taught and inspired people worldwide. Graham's philosophy of "value investing" - which shields investors from substantial error and teaches them to develop long-term strategies - has made The Intelligent Investor the stock market Bible ever since its original publication in 1949.
Finally, you too can discover the old-fashioned - yet now revolutionary (and updated for the 21st century) - "gold egg" income investing secrets for lazy investors. Despite following the conventional financial wisdom, many senior citizens are now asking what happened to that worry-free fun and relaxation they promised themselves after a long career of hard work.
Peter Lynch, one of the most successful investors of all time, shows you how to use what you already know to make money in the market. You'll discover why smart money is not so smart - and why you may be a better stock picker than the pros, how to follow your hunches and back them up with facts, how to disregard reports on the economy and pick your own time to buy and sell, and how to determine which types of stocks are right for you. Lynch is the former manager of the $9 billion Fidelity Magellan Fund, where he earned investors a $190,000 return on a $10,000 investment.
A profitable trading strategy is the most important tool for a trader. This book explains a powerful trend-following day trading strategy for trading futures, stocks, ETFs, and Forex.
Very few careers can offer you the freedom, flexibility, and income that day trading does. As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work. You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. In the audiobook, I describe the fundamentals of day trading, explain how day trading is different from other styles of trading and investment, and elaborate on important trading strategies that many traders use every day.
This is not your typical options trading book, plagued with jargon and written by Wall Street academics who are more concerned with showing off than with actually teaching you how to trade. In Options Trading: QuickStart Guide, ClydeBank Finance packages the wisdom of the Wall Street elite into a straight-forward and easy-to-listen-to teaching tool. Options Trading: QuickStart Guide is ClydeBank Finance at its best, making complex ideas clear while endowing listeners with a wealth of powerful new knowledge.
John Bogle - founder of the Vanguard Mutual Fund Group and creator of the first index mutual fund - is an industry pioneer. Over the years, he has single-handedly transformed the mutual fund business, and today, his vision continues to inspire investors .It has been over a decade since the original edition of Common Sense on Mutual Funds was first published. While much has changed during this time, the importance of investing and the issues addressed in the original edition of this book have not.
I have studied Warren Buffett and his investments for over 20 years. Over that time, I have distilled Buffett's most valuable investing insights into an easy-to-follow program. It's time to learn a proven strategy that takes the stress out of investing.
Of all the opportunities to invest and make money, bond investing is likely one of the most neglected. Stocks are the get-rich investment, hyped by Wall Street and favored by investors. Commodities are widely used to hedge risk and to gamble on price changes. Even real estate is more widely held for its cash flow and other benefits.
According to research by fund manager Vanguard, the average investor holds just 15 percent of their portfolio in bonds. Since older investors typically hold much more of their investments in fixed-income, it's safe to assume that many younger investors are neglecting bond investment all together.
What you might not realize is that bonds are critical to reaching your financial goals. No other investment provides the kind of safety and security you'll get from bonds, and few other investments provide the kind of cash flow you'll get from these fixed-income opportunities.
In fact, manage your bonds right and you might not need much more to meet your financial goals. You'll get stable returns for decades and won't have to worry about constant crashes in the stock market. You'll get nearly guaranteed cash flows to pay for expenses and the retirement you deserve.
Putting a portfolio of bonds together that will meet your goals can be surprisingly easy if you know where to start. Understand bond basics and how to avoid the mistakes that cost other investors money, and you'll find an investment that's easier to manage than any other while moving you closer to financial freedom.
This book will do exactly that, help you put together a step-by-step investing strategy in bonds to understand how much of your portfolio to invest and how to do it.
I liked this book and it had a lot of great information, but I felt like it was way to short.

I think the Narrator was nervous or to excited, I the information was great the delivery was not. He got a little ahead of himself a few times. Over all it was a good book.
I was looking for immediate information to bring me up to speed on bonds for an MBA level class. This book did just that. I actually came away with a full understanding of bonds, the things that affect bonds and investment, and insight as to how best apply bonds to my portfolio. Most importantly I have the knowledge needed for the class.
I think the book does exactly what it says , giving beginners a guide to investing in bonds. I love stock investing but also like to learn about other investment vehicles, and while bonds are not my favorite, this book did help me to realize the importance of earning steady income. I would recommend this book to most people, like seasoned investors with a sizable portfolio. I wish the book was a little bit longer, but when you compare it to the price you pay, the short read/audio is well worth it.
it's a very good book, easy to understand, gave a lot of ideas and it keep it simple. good book for beginners investment.
I was interested in establishing my own bond portfolio . This book is exactly what I needed to do just that. I’m sure there are longer more detailed sources. But now I just have to review the steps and portfolio diversification strategies to accomplish my goal. The author has convinced me this is an often neglected but less risky and vital part of my overall wealth and retirement strategy. Buy this book rather than use a credit . It is well worth the cost. I’ll keep this on my device as I’ll be going to it often .
Pretty basic
Was hoping for more for $5 and actually it was $10 because it was 1 credit
Should have much more info
To sum it up, it's bonds for dummies. I wish he went more into historical returns specifically around the last bond market crash, and high inflation period and it's correlation.
If you understand how bonds are priced, then you really have no need to listen to this.
Good overall information into bonds and the bond market. Also offered some decent strategies. The narrator stutters a lot and it's very tough to stay engaged while he's stumbling through sentences. Overall decent place to start
This book offers very little details. May not help someone who wants to invest in bonds.
