Explosive

What a wonderfully written story. This blend of suspense, danger and sinful delight of romance between Wells and Ivy was explosive. It is heartbreaking yet able build up strength of each character and the plot. I loved it and cannot wait for the next one!

Edited to add:
I forgot to mention that Sean Masters and Mollie Stark did a fantastic job capturing the nuances and emotions of the characters. Not to mention the deep timber of Wells voice was enthralling. Even the banter between them flowed so well it almost felt like i was watching a movie.

Normally I am more into the male narrator because we tend to focus on the MMC. This book is more from Ivy’s experience. All of Ivy’s sass and brattiness in the beginning were perfectly done. Her emotions were well played, the anger, the sadness, the fear and grief. Wells’s voice was also strong. The doubts, the anger and jealousy were well done.

This story was a roller coaster ride of action, romance and suspense. Ivy had to marry to get her independence and inheritance. She proposed to Wells- a perfect stranger- who surprisingly agreed. From that point on, Ivy life becomes something she never expected. She goes from a fun loving normal heiress to a badash woman that will literally burn down the world. Trained to protect and defend with death if necessary.
Wells has a secret agenda. He was a stranger to Ivy but he knows her well. He has been watching her for years. He is protective, possessive and will do anything for Ivy.

Wells comes with a group of guys that make Ivy their own. They become her family and love her. They will go to the ends of earth for her.


The story is very fast paced. Secrets are revealed, lives are in jeopardy and when Ivy comes into her own, the world wasn’t ready. She rose up from the fire and scorched the earth.

Strong characters, good plot and plenty of action and emotion.

Best Debut Book I've Read!!!

Such a wonderful storyline and plot especially for a debuting author and series. I can't wait for the rest of the series. The narrators also did and amazing job! Very worth the credit!

Burning Ivy, or so they thought

This is my first audiobook I have listened to from this author. Duo voice actors to portray Ivy and Wells. Wells was after Ivy, thinking she doesn’t know of him. Well little did he know that she knew of him and sought him out. But she doesn’t realized Wells was also surrounded by loyal friends 3 other men that felt just as protective of her. Someone or persons are after Ivy and the people she loves. Will she be able to stop them? This was a sit slow but the ending was pulse throbbing.

Mystery and Suspense

Ivy has to marry in order to receive her inheritance. A chance encounter with the mysterious Wells ends with them being engaged. She’s quickly accepted into his found family, but everyone’s been hiding big things from her.

Ivy was so strong! I mean, she knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. But when her whole life was practically thrown and smashed, making her question EVERYTHING?? Wow. I just. The way she was able to handle that was amazing.

This book is packed with mystery and suspense. I had no idea this was a debut novel, but I really enjoyed it.

These two did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life! They were perfectly matched to their respective characters.

A rollercoaster ride!

*ALC review* Whew, the twists and turns of this story had me in a chokehold!! Brandy Hynes created a world full of intrigue with a slew of characters that were captivating and kept me locked in the entire time. Ivy was a perfect FMC, a combination of soft and lethal with a dash of brat that was so fun to experience. Wells was a combo of alpha and golden retriever, but with the most delicious "touch her and 💀 " vibes that had me swooning and cursing him at the same time! The found family in this book carved a place in my heart right away, and when the drama hit I was on the edge of my seat and needing more! I was enthralled by this story, and I cannot wait to see what the rest of the Kort series has in store for me!

The best book of 2024 so far 

So much action, passion, smarts and just a well developed story to keep you ducked in to the end. The character development is superb and thy are all morally grey but so real. This author is a new obsession and the narrators were above and beyond. I will also be following the narrators.

I can't believe this is a debut!!

This story is EPIC! I am totally blown away that this is a debut novel. These characters are so well thought out. The story is an exciting one from start to finish and transforms many times throughout the book. The plot is thick with tension and suspense in the best ways possible and had me riveted. Aside from the excitement of the story, the relationship between our main characters is refreshing. My favorite thing is that we get the feel of a why-choose even though there is only one truly intimate love interest between Ivy and Wells. Ty, Liam and Gage, although not romantically involved with Ivy, develop such a strong and loving bond with her that has a nice comforting feel. My favorite part about this aspect, is that we get to look forward to their stories in future books. It is a long book and there are times where it slows down a bit but DO NOT GIVE UP ON IT. Every bit of this story is worth reading.

As for these narrators...I do not have a single bad thing to say. Sean Masters did such an amazing job voicing the multiple male main characters. Each and every character has there own personalities and he was able to give a unique voice to each one. Mollie Stark also did such a good job lending different emotions to Ivy's character...and she went through a plethora of different stages through this story. I felt the growth of her character through this performance and it was so appreciated by this avid audiobook reader. The production was invaluable and the duet style narration really shined in this one.

I enjoyed reading this story and loved hearing the audiobook. Both narrators are new to me but did a great job.

LOVED IT!!!

This is the first for me with this particular author but will definitely not be the last! Fact… I started following her after listening to this book. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series when they come out! You will not be disappointed! The story got better & better as it went on! It has the perfect amount of emotions & action that had me on the edge of my seat. Absolutely loved it!! Narrators did an AMAZING job as well!! ♥️♥️♥️
