Publisher's Summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Lauren Landish comes a hard-riding romance of cowboys who run wild - and the women who tame them....

Bull rider James Bennett lives for those eight seconds of exhilaration. A rodeo cowboy in his prime, all he wants out of life is something to straddle. That’s why James is feeling a little restless, spending his summer off working his family’s ranch. That is, until a spirited and gorgeous veterinarian-in-training shows up and puts the cocky wild boy - and his ego - in place. Though she’s a feisty one, James is always up for a challenge.

Sophie Stone has to admit it: James Bennett is a checklist of cowboy hotness - ruggedly handsome with piercing blue eyes, a hard-muscled body, and just enough swagger to make her toes curl. She thought she was done with her bad-boy phase, but exceptions must be made.

How can Sophie possibly say no to a man who makes her heart buck like a bronco? And when their summer fling comes to an end, how can she possibly say goodbye?

Not much substance

Not much substance. Comparing this to Beauty and the Billionaire & the second book following Beauty and the billionaire, this book did not carry a storyline like the two other books of Lauren Landish I have listened to. If you want to listen to someone tell you a story of people just having sex all the time then this is for you. I felt that this book was just sex, sex, sex. This book was lame because its 90% sex and 10% loose story. Disappointed ☹️.

great story

this was a good story that didn't have all the silly unnecessary drama and break ups.

Sweet romance great story

Loved the story and the narrators. I read one review that said it was all sex and no story. That is untrue. This is a romance with an HEA and yes. There is sex. But there is the love story and also some side drama. I thought it was a good balance. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

Sweet Southern Charmer!!

I loved this book. Aiden Snow and Melissa Moran narrated the heck out of this book. If you're a fan of Aiden and his deep sultry, sexy deep vouce you won't be disappointed. James and Sophie were so great together. I loved that southern drawl and the story was really good. There are some really hot and sizzling scenes narrated by Aiden. Oh boy...😉😉
I see book 2 to this series is coming out soon with my other fav male narrator. Can't wait!! Glad I found this series.

Love The Bennett Boys!

Oh my!
Here I thought the book couldn't get any better!
I could not turn this book off!
Aiden Snow and Melissa Moran upped the levels of sexy, sweet, humor and heart on Bennet Ranch!
Bringing out all dimensions of the characters- the good, bad and naughty!
Revisiting James "cowboy" and Sophie's sexually charged whirlwind tale of passion, enlightenment, growing up, moving on, and standing still- was a pleasure to my ears and heart!
Well done!
I know I will be listening to this one again!
Worth the time and credit/money!!

Hott Bull Rider and Fiesty Vet...yes please!!

I loved this book. I could identify with so much and that made it fun for me. James is a smart ass and Sophie gives it right back to him. I love the confidence in Sophie. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to say so. James has an awakening of his own and it was heart warming to see him accept what he wants vs. what he thought he needed and then go after it.

Just What I Need(ed)

*Sigh*
Sometimes a story hits just the right spot at just the right time. Kind of like finally scratching that itchy spot that's been bugging you. Or, you know... sometimes you feel like aiding a first responder, and sometimes you feel like saving a horse...

As I was saying, this story just really seemed to hit the mark with me: it was sweet, but still delightfully steamy. It had a great blend of high plains heat and cowboy cool going on. James and Sophie were both really fun characters for me. Probably because they both knew which things to take seriously, and which things to let go and laugh about. They both had a little bit of self-deprecating humor, even though James still managed to have a pretty big ego. I think that comes with the pro bull-riding territory. You've got to feel pretty tall in your saddle to pull that swagger off. Both James and Sophie are hard working and have set serious goals for themselves. They both also have a strong belief in family. I love to see that. But they were also able to let go and loosen up to have some fun--a good trait in today's crazy, driven world.

I basically loved every aspect of this story, these characters, and the way they chose to live their lives. Very well written. Wonderful read. Did my heart good.

Sophie and James make hay, rain or shine

Perfect narration of this spit and sawdust vet intern falling for ebullient bull rider tale. Written with realism with down-on-the-farm grittiness. Some books profess to be about cowboy life, this one really is.

Well crafted, well written with no insta-love or stupid. This romance blossoms over a summer, through all the stages usually rushed in shorter books. You can really enjoy learning about the MCs, their families and almost smell the farmyard on their boots and the aroma of peach cobbler served up for dessert by Mama Bennett; good details and descriptions. Great ending and HEA.

No jarring sexual deviance like book 2 in this series, just hot heavy passion.

Really enjoyed this book.

wonderfully homespun and sweet

I've never listened to this author before but I was happy to have some ranch time.
it's a lovely simplistic feeling with all the good morals and values that need to be instilled in young kids today.
it has a heap of steamy hotness and the huge HEA but it's nice to read some softness after a ton of dark romance. I'll bite....book 2 here I come
