Publisher's summary

Evaline Manor was sure she'd lived the worst day of her life when she witnessed the death of her father and narrowly avoided a brutal attack. Now she's trapped in the kingdom ruled by her aunt and uncle who are desperate to keep her docile and marry her off. She's determined to utilize her combat training to escape Kembertus and flee to one of the neighboring kingdoms.

Maddox Vicor doubted whether the Goddess of Fate would grant him a mate. Most Kova found theirs in their first hundred years. He'd long passed that mark. But on his first day in Kembertus, he catches Evaline pickpocketing his dagger. In one moment, his world turns on its axis as he feels the bond snap into place, and Maddox knows that this woman with white hair and inhuman reflexes is his mate.

The illusion of freedom that Evaline holds dear is torn away on her new worst day when her aunt proposes an arrangement that she'd kill to escape. With time slipping through her fingers and danger closing in on all sides, she must do the one thing she fears most in order to save herself: she must trust a bloodthirsty immortal.

Fantastic!!

I loved the story and the characters! The female narrator (Auri) was amazing and brought the entire story to life. The way she conveyed Eveline’s emotions was 🤌🏼 I can’t wait for book two!

Phenomenal! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Firstly, the female narrator is absolute gold. Her voice is soothing and the emotion she pours into the book is perfection. I was crying by the fifth chapter because the story was being told so passionately. I’ve been excited for this book for a while and went in only knowing it was a fated mates/ vampire romance, so I was bound to like it. But the plot and characters…this book is under hyped to put it plainly. More people need to know how amazing this story is and this author is now a new fav. Overall absolutely wonderful book.

Sucks You in to Bound You Forever

I grabbed this audiobook after meeting the author in person at a signing event. To say I’m pissed I didn’t snag a signed hard copy is an understatement. This story flowed well and hooked my attention rather fast. The narrators did well to convey the story and it was rather enjoyable listening to them even at a slightly higher speed. Overall I enjoyed the story and narration. Can’t wait for the second one to be out soon!

Great story, not the best audio performance

I had already read this book entirely before I decided to buy the audiobook. I liked it that much that I wanted to be able to listen to it whenever I wanted.

This is a dual narration, as the story is written in dual POV. Some chapters are in Evaline's POV which is fully narrated by Auri Alden, including Maddox's dialogue. The other chapters are in Maddox's POV which is narrated by Tor Thom, including Evaline's dialogue.

Auri Alden's performance was pretty good, she had a lot of emotion into her narration and voices. I didn't like all the voices she did tho, she made Bassel's voice sound like he was constantly having an asthma attack.

Tor Thom, while his voice is pleasant, his performance was severely lacking. Monotone and absolutely no emotion in his voice. He read every sentence the same way, and I sincerely thought that his performance was a robot narration, like how you can get Alexa to narrate your books. It was honestly very disappointing. I probably would have preferred Auri Alden to just have narrated his chapters, at least there might have been emotion in it.

Way too slow

This book was really slow and the FMC would often annoy me. I understand that she had trauma and trust issues, but it got annoying. Too much internal monologue. And again, the story moved along really really slow.

Needs more content

Loved the concept and will be listening to the whole series if audible offers it. My only complaint was that it felt kinda anticlimactic because of all the overly forced relationship drama, and it left a ton of obvious plot questions not only unanswered, as well as all but completely unaddressed, too.

I’m all in

Took a gamble on this read with so few reviews and it was totally worth the credit.

Love a strong female lead and the way the author developed the characters. The romantic tension had me all the way through.

Sat on it for a day before reviewing. Realized that many of the unknowns are still unknown. The feeding, the strength, the destination, and the reunion of mates… I guess I’ll have to wait for the next one. I’m here for it though.

Bring in the next book!!! Soon. Pretty please. 😊

Idk what to say

While this book has some good points it’s mostly dragging out to the point i just wanted to skip to the end to see what happens. The relationship is so forced and cringy it almost hurt. The fmc is whiny af to the point you almost don’t care about the trauma
