Not just another Repunzel retelling

I was skeptical and hesitant to start this. How many ways can you retell this tale and make it spicy if all I’m gonna think about is singing “when will my life begin” from Tangled. But then Nicolette kept popping up on my TikTok and it was a sign from the bookdom. I listened to the audiobook straight through and can’t wait to get my physical copy. This book had me from beginning to end with no doubts of how I wouldn’t be able to put it down. Just when you think you have it figured out…well you don’t. The descriptions, the subtle differences from the take we grew up on, the careful placement of every word shows Nicolette’s talent and pride for her work throughout. This book has me regretting not getting the second one already. I can’t wait to either be further ruined by betrayal or surprised with the ending I thought I was getting until things took a turn. I AM SUCH A FAN NICOLETTE

The Plotline

This was such a unique take on Rapunzel!! I absolutely loved this book! Ripley and Fletcher are a phenomenal pairing.

Kept Me Guessing

I usually have a knack for predicting what will happen next in a book, but Body of Chaos kept me guessing from start to finish in the best way! The narrator was perfect for this book and brought the story to life flawlessly. Starting book 2 now!

The ending

I would have chosen a different narrator for this story but more importantly - the ending? Chefs kiss. I see what you did there dear author, and I loved it!
