I've cruised through the centuries managing to avoid all the wars, supernatural and human, but still going to all the best parties. I would say I avoided bloodshed, but it's kind of part of the whole "vampire" thing. I've lived on the fringes of a society that considered cruelty and sadism favorable character traits for almost 500 years. Now, I'm in the middle of a war that might just put my non-beating heart in a lot of danger.

I love this book but wish it had a better narrator
I love this book and was excited to listen to it on Audible but the female narrator voice is awful. it's so stiff and robotic and lifeless which sometimes makes it hard to tell when someone is talking or she's just reading. the male narrator is actually really good

loved the story and narrators
I really liked the main character s. leana and Knox. Cost, kneenan,and Ox were awesome. the two narrators were great! Can't wait to see what happens next. really hope Knox doesn't die and I hope Cost finds true love.

First fantasy romance
This from the perpestive from a guy what does not read any romance books it was great. I liked the story and they chose great actors to read the different perspectives.
My only feedback wish the story explained the world the story took place in.
I would recommend this book!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Please make the other books in this series audiobooks! This was a great story, it was romantic with some spice. It was heartbreaking and heartwarming. Highly recommend! Great idea with wonderful execution. Wonderful writing style!❤️💋

Very slow
I read until this book became to boring to finish reading. I normally trudge through but it is way too slow. The story line was somewhat interesting. The characters were a bit flat. I just couldn't continue on.

So much potential...
YA, overly angsty (from both) romance surpassed the world building, character development and story. And I love a good romance.
I just couldn't care for Lena or like her much and the sing song narration by O'Donnell did not help the cause. Noc came across as a simpering weakling, not the leader of a brotherhood of bad ass assassins.
If the next book follows a different brother, I may read it.
