Brian Naslund's Blood of an Exile is a fast-paced adventure perfect for comic listeners and fans of heroic fantasy.

Bershad was supposed to die....

When he was caught trying to assassinate a fellow noble, Flawless Bershad was given a death sentence. Fight monsters so that he would die serving the kingdom. But Bershad can’t die.

He’s never lost a fight, the most successful dragon slayer in history, but marked as a doomed man, Bershad stands apart from the world. But that is about to change.

The man who sentenced Bershad to his fate has just given him an out. Kill a king and walk free forever. But Bershad could not care less about the fates of kings and kingdoms, until, that is, he discovers he is the only person able to save an innocent child and, possibly, the life of every creature in Terra.

Well written and good narration. I hope the rest of the series is as good.

very enjoyable

While I enjoyed the book the plot is a very thinly veiled metaphor concerning the need for environmental stewardship, this was at times distracting.

If you’re looking for sophisticated fantasy or dragon fiction then this is not the book for you. If you’re in a mood for a simple story and you do not care that the story canbe a bit preachy at times then this a good book for you.

Environmentalism.

I read a few reviews that complained about thinly veiled environmentalism. Nothing thinly veiled about it but it's brilliant and not just because I'm an environmentalist.

This is a great story with complex and broken characters. If it bothers you to think about how fragile our eco-systems are then you need this more than most.

The narration well it's Steven Brand and he's a genius.

So Clever.
