I want to crack him like an egg and see what's inside, but there's no way I want him to do the same thing to me. On the surface, I'm a successful supermodel with a great career. Inside, I'm someone else, a woman that nobody sees - until Carter slowly breaks through my defensive walls as well as he satisfies my body, starting to open wounds that have never really healed.

But there's only so much I can let Carter see. Revealing everything could ruin my entire life and the career I'd worked so hard to build. So why was it so hard to lie to Carter like I'd been doing with everyone else my entire life?

The steam between the Billionaire and the Beauty is off the charts. But the past just might get in the way. The narrator does a good job.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book from beginning to end. I have loved every single book with in the series that I've listened to this far. I can't wait to see where the series continues next.

Enjoyed

With Carter and Brynn, you could sense the sexual tension building. I liked that there was a point with them where it was clear the relationship went beyond the physical.

I was really kind of irritated by Brynn's trust issues until I found out why. I could completely understand why she didn't trust her own judgement. Both Carter and Brynn had issues that revolved around interesting little twists in the story.

One thing that really bothers me in books is the mix ups due to lack of communication. Carter and Brynn had it in spades. I do have to give Brynn credit, she stepped up her game and got then to their HEA. I would give them 3.5 stars.

I listened to the audio book. I thought the narration was ok, but I am pretty sure I would have enjoyed it more if there had been a male narrator voicing Carter, Jett, and Mason.
