Publisher's Summary

A stranger wants to buy me for a month.

Ryan has money. Not just real-life rich but fairy-tale money that can change my life.

He offers me $50,000 to be his companion.

I don’t know exactly what’s going to be involved, but I’m a stripper, so I think I have a pretty good idea.

When I get to his home, nothing is as I expect. He doesn’t touch me. Not straight away. He treats me like I’m his girlfriend. Coastal drives in his super-car, meals at restaurants that cost what I’d earn in a month.

He tells me his story, and little by little I fall for the gorgeous man beneath the reserved shell.

I know I shouldn’t. I fight the feelings in my heart because this is all a fantasy. A dream that’s going to end when 30 days have passed. And it does. Walking away is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life. Until I realize I’m late.

He’s going to think I’ve fallen pregnant on purpose, so I decide not to tell him. Then I get a call that changes everything.

Ryan’s been hiding something from me, and suddenly I find that I need to fight for more than just his love. I need to fight for his life.

Billion Dollar Daddy is a 55,000 word novel with a happy ever after ending.

Trigger warning!!!

SPOILER: I wish I would have been warned about an attempted suicide in the story. I love all of Stephanie Brother’s other books but I would have skipped this one due to the trigger.

If this is not a trigger or bothering to you then I hope you enjoy the book as much as I have enjoyed her others.

Really great story and narration!

Oh my Lord, that chapter nearly gave me a damn heart attack! You know the one, don't do that to me! 🤣 loved the voices, as this is my first audiobook, I love the sort of acting. They get into it and it's way better than even some videos I watch.

It was a good storyline

The story kept me interested. I do enjoy a fast pace story. However, I don’t know if a person can fall in love with another person in just 5 days if I’m being realistic.

Fate

It seems fate entwines Ryan and Jesse in this story he goes to the strip club looking for something and becomes mesmerized by a Jesse who is trying to pay off debts that we’re left when her husband died. Ryan is also dealing with the loss of his wife and a diagnosis of an illness. Thirty days he asks for and what happens will prolong his life and bring him more joy than he could ever imagine. I cried listening to this story definitely reckoned this book for Stephanie Brother fans.

A Superior Story with Quality Dual Narration

From the first chapter I found this story to be gripping, taking unexpected twists and turns with the dual narration being a seamless and special experience, enhancing my connection to the stories and characters. Can I say upfront that I highly recommend you avoid the editorial description as it contains spoilers you will wish to avoid. The unexpected twists in this story are part of the magic.

I have to say that this is not my preferred genre and I hesitated before choosing it. I do not like stereotypical stories on any aspect let alone puffed-up alpha males dominating an innocent younger girl as too many of this genre end up repeating ad nauseaum. Instead, this book is a lovely surprise with unexpected depth, superb story-telling and two very likable leads, both ending up in circumstances not of their choosing that do not come close to fulfilling their needs and heartfelt desires.

But out of the ashes of loss, a phoenix rises of unexpected and surprising opportunity. Choices are made that lead this story down a precarious track. We the reader, find ourselves breathless to see the outcome and a few surprise detours occur before the story reaches its conclusion.

Loss - Hope - Passion - Compromise - Redemption - Family: All worthy themes to keep you engaged and hoping for the best for memorable characters.

I look forward to reading more from Stephanie Brother and applaud her for keeping this story genuine and out of the realm of the sleazy. I will be more than happy to listen to any audiobook narrated by Kinsey Cass and/ or Chip Lincolnshire.

I should add the editing is EXCELLENT- great pace, just the right amount of story build, coherent story even with frequent perspective changes, and well-developed characters who demonstrate valuable personal growth - all of this forms a WOW!

It was ok

The two characters had interesting backgrounds but the book was a little bit dull as there wasn't much to the story. The characters were very serious and depressed! I couldn't wait to finish this book so I could mark it done.

4 stars

I received this audiobook via a promo code and this is my voluntary review.

Ryan has lost his way, his wife is gone and although his wealth gives the illusion that his life should be a party, he's deeply depressed, and lonely so he decides to create a bucket list and enlists the services of a pretty blond named Jessie from a strip club who he connected with to help him tick off each item. Basically the sad billionaire playboy version of the Lonely Chick who accompanied Zac Efron around in the movie New Years Eve. Jessie can't really say no to the $50,000 because of the debt her dead husbands left her in but she can't continue their arrangement longer than a few days when it becomes apparent after an argument in Vegas that the same business that fuels Ryan's incredible fortune is the same one responsible for her current predicament.

Only when Jessie leaves Vegas, she takes more than just Ryan's heart with her when she goes.

Narration was awesome, this was a quirky melancholy twist on Pretty Woman minus the horrible judgemental sales assistant and Ryan is far from the Jerk-off Alpha Types normally found ordering scantily clad women around the bedroom.

Lovely storyline!

Enjoyable read - I still have unanswered questions on what could happen next? Could there be more ...
I loved how this book was narrated, particularly the male voice. I enjoyed the fact that they read their own parts throughout the book.
