Publisher's Summary

There's a body beneath the skip bins. Fae on the forklift. A vampire in the manager's office. And there's definitely something skeevy going on in the locker rooms.

Hi. I'm Pet. Well, not exactly Pet. I am a pet.

I was meant to stay out of it, but somebody's gotta do something when humans are being killed by Behindkind creatures.

Lucky for me, my owners are just as dangerous and inhuman as the bad guys...maybe more.

I love this series!

The story is great and the narrarator is perfect for this story brings all the charachters to life. I hope Audible makes the 2 most recent books available on Audible. PLEASE make all the books in this series into audio books. Really fun to listen to.

More Pet, more Psychos!

I have all of the City Between books on Kindle, but I also like to have my favorite Kindle books on Audible so I can knit and "read" at the same time. There was no question I would order both City Between books available on Audible and I'm waiting for Book 3 on Audible and Book 4 on Kindle and Audible. The books are amazing, needless to say, and I appreciate that Ms. Gingell has found a fresh twist for a young adult paranormal series--so many of the current paranormal books out there seem a little cookie cutter to me. I await each new book eagerly and recommend them highly.

Ms. Naqvi also does a great job narrating and is an excellent reader (surprisingly, not all narrators are). And although I had pictured Zero having more of an accent-less voice like Athelas since he's fae, I enjoyed him having an Australian accent like Pet and the human characters. In my opinion, she does full justice to the books with her narration.

Cant wait for more!

loved the first and immediately devoured the second. sad I have to wait for the next book. ends on another cliffhanger.
it's a refreshing supernatural story though. not of that annoying teen angst and romance.
i absolutely enjoyed listening to it, the narrator has good voices for everyone. and her accent is pleasant. the story really drew me in. and the action moved along at a good but brisk pace.
The only thing id have to advise a listener is you need a good imagination to fill in the somewhat vague descriptions of things. but other than that I highly recommended this series.

I had to keep going so I got all the books in the kindle version too. when the 3rd and hopefully 4th come to audible, I'm definitely getting them.
the story plays out like a movie and if this ever gets properly to the screens I will be the first one there. :)

A joy to read/listen to

Another superb PG book. Witty and engrossing, with superb narration.

Pet is fully embracing her roll as a pet to the two fae and a vampire she lives with, whom she happily calls either her owners or her three psychos. She compares her role to that of a cat and she will obey if, and who, she wants to. Pet cooperates, partly to keep herself from notice of the foster care system and achieve her end goal (the deed to her parents’ house), but also out of an unacknowledged loneliness and boundless curiosity of the Between.

These books are thoroughly entertaining. Very Australian, laugh out loud funny, with no swearing or sex, just a little violence.
