Osho addresses and beautifully explains a common issue - the need for attention - that is taking so many eccentric shapes and forms in today’s global media-mania-dominated world. The need for attention is a human reality, and almost everybody is a beggar for attention. The root cause of why one seeks attention is because one does not know oneself. Attention is nourishment for your personality - which is not your real being but just a fake "persona" created by society. Your real power is in your individuality, which you have to discover. And the science to discover individuality is meditation.

Osho said that humans seek attention for the feedback, that they are basically pinging off of other human beings. Sometimes people even seek negative attention because whether positive or negative, attention helps define the ego. A person that has realized their true selves won't seek attention like this. This speech included a bunch of stores and lots of comparisons, he made it clear that a great deal of what humans do is tied up in status and ego. He basically said that seeking attention, and looking for respect, desiring society's approval is all so empty in comparison to knowing yourself and that one who knows himself will have people be drawn to him even if he doesn't seek it out. He mentioned Gandhi and many other public figures and how they went about seeking attention and it was really interesting to hear a different perspective on someone like Gandhi. It's not necessarily Osho's best talk but it was entertaining and the content was unique thus I gave this one a higher rating.

This was all about attention seeking and why humans do it.
